Frostfall 2023 Dauntless Build - Cold Shell

- A quick Dauntless video presenting my Cold Shell build, a winter themed build in preparation for the festive season. This is a very defensive build that allows you to stack huge amounts of shields but packs a huge punch by allowing you to sacrifice you shield for powerful damage.
Nice way to collect shields for special attack! It somehow reminds me of one of those anime series where main character puts 100% to defense 🙂

Yea I’ve made some changes to it since this video and have it even better now. I’m not usually great at making builds but very happy with this.

Yea I replaced the earth cell with galvanised, makes it much better. Hope it works for you.
glad to see shield builds get a bit more love, its one of my favorite builds to run with repeaters because I can dole out enough stagger dmg to a behemoth to actualy stagger them ^^ I tend to go full galvanized and instead of earth and I run whatever the stagger increase cell is called

Worste legendary weapons 😆yea that’s true, I can only think of one time that the cold hell special ability was useful and it was against a chronovore. The frostwulf weapon is a game changer for this build though, makes sense to merge it.

The Frostwolf ability is really effective if you know how to use it. It is a free interupt on any behemoth, and it also slows and deals damage over time and applies the frost effect to any behemoth touching it. For weapons like repeaters, having an ability to interrupt is crucial.
It looks a pretty good build, how does it stack up against heroic escalations? (Forgive the pun)

It certainly won’t hold up against some of the incredible discipline builds you get out there dominating the leaderboards but it can be very effective

So this is a pure tank build?
Well it’s a tank build that causes very high damage when you choose to deplete your shields
So in a way dps as well. Oh and you grant other players shields so a bit of healer in there too
consuming the shields ... up to 400% dmg....... i gotta try a build like that
Yea can be really effective especially when the defiant stone grants you 5-10k shield, times that by 400 and it is deadly
