I take care of an abandoned stray. One day one of our neighbors was cooking carna asada on their grill. I was inside when my roommate told me that the cat came over caring a steak. He went back outside and ran into the neighbor . He asked us if we had seen the cat that stole his steak. What happened was that she saw the guy grilling and snuck up and hid. Just as he turned his back, she climbed up, grabbed it and then ran around the corner. The kicker is that his best friend saw the whole thing and didn't say anything.
Ha ha! Cat was stalking a steak. He was SO hungry and your kind friend knew it. Awww ❤❤

I once came home and stepped on something squishy at my front door. It was a large square piece of fish. Cleaned and cut. We don’t live near water. I could only think my TNR cat had stolen it from a neighbor and left it for me.
A friend of mine had a three foot catnip plant growing in his backyard and as he had no cat so he dug it up , put it in a plant pot and gave it to me! I brought it home and put the plant on our balcony.
Seconds later, I heard this big crash noise coming from the balcony.
I rushed to see what the matter was and there was my cat...he had literally tackled the catnip plant, both cat and plant were on the balcony floor on their sides and he had the plant in a bear hug, front and back claws, and was chewing away! It was hilarious to see!

My aunt once had a big black cat named "Toothless" (after the cartoon dragon he kind of looked like). One summer, Toothless was unusually eager to escape out the back door of the family's house. He managed to escape several times before the family took steps to prevent it. Later, while cleaning the yard, we made a discovery: Toothless had been making his mad dashes for the door in order to access a large patch of catnip that was growing in a hidden corner of the yard! We always referred to that as his "stash" afterwards.
I had no idea this was plant you could just grow.
@@Robert08010 Yes. My grandparents used to grow catnip in flower beds all around their house because the scent of it repels some kinds of insects. Of course, that meant that neighbors' cats were constantly coming along to chew the catnip, but my grandparents considered cats in the yard less annoying than bugs in the house.

@@Robert08010 It's very easy to grow, but you need to protect it if it's outside in the garden as neighbourhood cats will destroy it. Humans can take catnip as well, normally as a tea as it has some herbal medicinal effects.
This is why we love cats. It's always a pleasure to come home to welcoming cats, and then you discover that a tornado has ripped through your house.
A cat will also return to the scene of an 'incident 'and ask what has happened.

For the longest time, my house looked like a jungle with all the indoor plants I used to have. I then started bringing in kitty cats. I learned that house plants & house cats don't mix together that well, so I thought I'd rather have cats than plants.

We were at PetsMart this weekend and noticed a product of catnip called, ‘Meowerjuana’. 😅. We were cracking up.

I have two toy panthers, bro/sis littermates from the local rescue that I named Dip & Dot. They turn one year in June. I've woken up to many crime scenes, especially with my crafting supplies...they're destructive little turds. But my grandkids live next door and they absolutely adore the cats and the cats love the kids, so the cats redeem themselves daily by being the best buddies my kiddos could hope for. ❤❤

my cat that I adopted found out the hard way that cacti spines hurt , but that only happened cause when I got her it was a last minute thing and was still too cold outside for some of my plants to go outside ( since the. I kept all outside but my two most spoiled plants lol

Back when I was much younger we had 7 cats. IT was in the 60s so peace and love was all over the place. I made the mistake of leaving a full one ounce bag of pot on the coffee table. When we got up in the morning it was ALL over the place not enough left to pinch pieces up. sigh.

Cats' curiosity and investigative skills are off the charts! I enjoyed the cheerful musical accompaniment, too! My senior girl has been totally polite and non-destructive in all respects since the day of her adoption. I keep no live plants indoors, which is no sacrifice. I wish that she didn't regurgitate her food so often, so that I find little piles around. Please, not on my bed!

The car in the yarn .I used to have a cat that would play with yarn in house, BUT when he was young I had a boxer dog, which would sneak yarn out the house and wrap it around Rees and bushes outside
You really have to watch this. My cat did this and overdosed. She would not stop throwing up, got dehydrated from throwing up. It was an expensive Vet Bill because whe developed an infection as her amune system dropped and had to go on antibiptics. It took her about a week to recover.
I had a beautiful stray just walk into my home and decided he would stay. May Tau RIP, miss you buddy.

I have four cats, with the oldest being the ring leader of the bunch. One morning my husband came in to awaken me very early to show me what the cats had been up to while we slept. They had opened the kitchen cabinet with cans and other food supplies and took a large plastic bag of pinto beans and all went into the bathroom. Once they were assembled there, they opened the bag, scattered the entire bag all over the floor and proceeded to “play” with the beans as if they were the most fantastic cat toys they had ever had. Unfortunately one of the cats ate several of the beans and her stomach swelled and I had to take her to the vet. She had several tests, X-rays, etc. I got a very large bill and my cat weathered her bean burrito escapade just fine. I have no idea why they did that. We have locks on all our cabinets now, but one of our cats can open them anyway. He likes to lay in the kitchen linen cabinet and then empty all the linens out into the floor, which is okay because they all have to be washed after that anyway. Cats make life exciting and unpredictable! Go Millie, Bella, Sadie, and Caspien!

I once had a cat named Garfield, and looked like the Garfield in the comics as well, and was a rescue cat from the animal shelter and I adopted him. Every time his dinner bowl and water dish was empty, he would turn on the lights to let me know it was empty, but I didn’t figure this out until much later on. One day I came home late in the evening (it was already dark out), and found my lights on in the house in my bedroom so I turned them off. I didn’t know why it was happening, but it was starting to happen way to often, so I decided to put electric tape on the light switch to keep it from getting turned on. As I was taping the light switch, Garfield came up to me and looked at me and the light switch, back and forth as if to say…why are you doing this, I need it on so me and the rest of the family won’t be in the dark while you are gone …. also just like Garfield in the comics, he loved lasagna…..😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 RIP Garfield you are missed

My cat played with the catnip box and managed to get it inside my landline phone. We had to buy a new phone in the end, as everyday the cat loved my phone, attacked it and then slept on it.

My cat throw temper tantrums also. If I don’t jump when they say jump, they get attitude. They like to look at me while they are knocking something anything off the counter or table. 😂😂😂😂😂 The crazy shit cats do just boggles my mind all the time. I use to have a cat that passed away called Teddy Bear. He was always a mischievous little guy, but one day when we came home, we heard little snips of nails comming from the kitchen. We walked in to see him hanging from the sliding screen door a few feet up off the ground. I just stood their for a few seconds before i started chuckling, carefully unhooked his claws from the holes, and set him on the floor before i opened the door for him. I guess when you got to go, you got to go. 🤷♀️ Suffice it to say, im glad he didnt put a hole in the screen door. 😅😂

2:39 omg I got a picture of my black cat doing this the other day but he was staring at me from inside my clothing hamper that I had left out while doing laundry. It was so funny! I was looking for him all over the house (sneaky cat😂) and I went to put my hamper away, and I saw two golden eyes with huge black pupils staring at me like Toothless the dragon. He looked at me like I put him there, and then he tried to jump out. I had to pick him up out of the hamper because he's too big for my hamper. How he managed to get in, I don't know (but if I had to guess, I think he used the "cats are liquid" principle, and was too chunky to "cats are liquid" his way back out.

window sills belong to cats, if you want plants to share the sun use hanging pots on sturdy hangers, floor plants need clear tape across the pots. Toilet seat should always be down in cat homes. where possible install pocket doors of hardware screen for airflow without 'cat flow thru'. Cats need to look out windows more than anyone is interested in looking in at you, OPEN the blinds.
Windows are cat tv. I lost my 2 about a year ago. The plant/tape seems like a good idea. I.always managed to find compromises. Paper towels did have to be put away and that cabinet door blocked. Cats and toilet paper. Just keep your bathroom door shut.
my black cat did that with the vent....she slid down to the basement. Happily it was summer and there was a cross pipe to the furnace as well. She was stuck there. (It must be a Black cat thing, this cat even looks like mine....)
