The thing worked for me is:
Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box, type wsreset.exe, and then select OK.

I had the same issue, but it turned out that my college email account was restricting it. I deleted it and I was still able to access Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc..

This is advice for people that these steps didn't work, just open your Microsoft store connect to your internet and leave it, it will automatically update mine took 45 mins but it will fix itself

Norhing worked but in place repair for windows 10.. kept all my apps and files.

hello everyone please make sure Microsoft edge is installed and isnt in need of repairs, I dont use edge so i didnt notice at first but once i downloaded it and installed it, microsoft store worked fine

search on how to enable windows updates. If they are disabled then it won't open. For me it was because I was doing PC tweaks and disabled windows update on purpose but realised that this was the problem
