  • Certified therapist and interventionist specializing in chemical dependency, addiction, and trauma, Sean McFarland (aka Seano) sat down with Mike Tyson and DJ Whoo Kid in the #Hotboxin' studio. In this emotional episode, Seano spoke about his childhood and traumatizing events that impacted him. How he worked through his addictions as well as how he started working with Mike Tyson when Mike was homeless, and how he's helped countless celebs when they fell off the wagon. The trio also talked about generational trauma, self-love, making amends with enemies, and DJ Whoo Kid shares some never before told secrets?!

Sometimes this podcast is hilarious, sometimes it is silly, and sometimes it is profound. The Champ's candor, humility, and honesty is inspiring. This episode is a gift to all of us. Thank you Mike for your strength through vulnerability. Very powerful.

i agree, i also thought ebin was one of the best at interacting with mike and knowing how to have conversations with mike, making sure mike always feels heard and understood but not speaking for him and consistently also asking the guest about themselves so to keep mike balanced between listening and talking about himself which he can get carried away at times if his pride & shadow self got ignited. ebin just truly has deep respect and love for mike & understands him & i wish he would come back as co host:((( mikes best podcasts were with ebin but my favorite guests mike has had on have been with different co hosts 😂😭#wewantebin

I know what this feels like. Growing up abused, beaten, told i was worthless, sexually abused, i was a gang member, angry, i hated people, and i felt like i was worth nothing. My own mother drove me to the child services office and told them "i dont want him anymore take him" she dropped my bag on the floor and walked out. So then i went in the system, and was bounced from one placement to another, where i was abused more. I have been shot at, stabbed, and left for dead. It has taken a long time to learn how to love people, and at times i still have a hard time and break down. I was unmanageable, angry, suicidal, hurt, all the above. I tried attempting suicide twice. And failed. I was tearing up watching this. Cause i understand how this all feels.

Cus too. You know the more I think about it the more I realize how important Mike Tyson's life is to humanity. Mike is a true American hero. Bc he was on top of the world, so it seemed when he was 20 years old, then lost it all, was a junkie, he was raped as a 7 year old boy, he robbed homes & people on the streets at 7 to about 13 years old until he was sent upstate to a boys home & eventually met Cus. I believe his daughters death was his wake up call & from what I see, she died for him & us in a way so that Mike could change & grow so that we all can be inspired by Mike to be better everyday. Her sacrifice was necessary for the world to be better. God works in mysterious ways & who would have ever thought Mike Tyson would inspire so many of us after all the wrong he did after his fall from the thrown. When Mike succeeded when he was younger we all felt like we succeeded. When Mike failed we all felt like we failed. Mike's story is one of the most amazing stories I've ever seen. It's ongoing but it's necessary to make us better & when we can do this, the world becomes better. Marco I wish you the best brotha. Saludos.

Basically his entire life he was trying to prove the world that he was a tough mother $%^& and yet he admits to feel like a scared little kid. It just shows that no matter who you are, strong, fast, rich, you will always be a tiny speck of dust living on a tiny little planet in a huge and powerful universe. So what I conclude from Mike is that we all should stay loving and be humble.

That's awesome to hear brotha. Healthy relationships and figuring out not only what it means to be not only a man but human is profoundly important to our lives and how we go about living them. I'm rooting for you and I'm hear to listen. I myself am learning i've acted like a scared child and it comes out at certain times in my life. Reading your comment on how you came to know you need help sometimes after watching this pod made me step back and think about me believing i should only rely on myself to resolve a mental crossroad and instead considering sharing my emoitions rather than bottling it up.
We all as men have been tricked into thinking we're not allowed to show emotion by a society that seemingly wants robotic males to do not act. Lets break that cookie cutter bullshit and do better. Its not gonna happen overnight. It wont happen right now these things take time. Healing and doing better takes time. I want to do things the right way rather than right now.

I have my issues, drugs, women, anxiety, selfishness, depression, etc., all the while, on the outside looking in I got it made....... Thanx Mike 4 speaking about ur issues so many people relate 2... I've even called my company wellness program and all they do is refer u 2 a dr/clinic or whatever and everytime, they not accepting new patients. So episodes like this do alot 4 me and many others in sure.
