    This is great, two very wise men who've literally seen and done it all, and they're both incredibly down to earth and humble, and it's because they've got nothing to prove in that regard, they've done it all and lived through it.
    Interviews and Podcasts such as these are so important. Personally, I think they're equally as important as the drive (I believe in the early-mid 90s up to 2000s) to interview as many of the Holocaust Survivors so that the real truth was not lost when those people died.
    Like it or not, this is another important part of history, not merely in the US but Globally, and there are lessons to be learned from these guys.

    Hey guys, great sit down. Yo, the reason Sammy went down is because Gotti’s apartment was bugged and he was talking about things that should have never been spoken of; and sometimes with Sammy’s name getting mentioned. Sammy said: “What? I got to go to jail for the rest of my life because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut?”. I’m afraid Sammy has a good point there. I’m glad everyone (self included) is trying to live right now (by the grace of God); and God bless.

    • @gentlemanjim480
      @gentlemanjim480 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Are you insane? Sammy doesn’t have a “good point”. Sammy murdered at least 19 people and that is why he should be in jail. It is that simple.

He did what he did and that's all. It's funny how every interview Mike is on he never did anything wrong, one minute he did 8yrs then the next time it's 5yrs he doesn't even know how long he was in jail. At least Sammy knows he did 20yrs. Mike tries to come off like a saint, he found God, he's a Christian, studied the bible in solitary confinement. Come on. I'll run with Sammy anyday.

    Michael is 100% right about how things changed in the late 80’s with the Rico act, then he slightly brought it up about how back in the day you got so many years, but only served part of it and was back out. That i believe was called truth in sentencing and began in the 90’s, that’s when everyone started ratting! You got caught up doing an armored truck or banks, they hit you with 10-20, you were serving like 85% of that. But if the judge said 10 n’ a day, that means 10 straight, no parole, no 85%, none of that! So only way around that was if you knew something about someone they wanted more than you. Still though it’s fucked up to take someone down because you got caught up. Call me crazy, but that’s just not ok on either side, the cops or the informant. Even a guy like Kevin Weeks who ratted on a shit bag like Whitey Bulger, he should still be in jail too!

He's a smart guy but he over exaggerates a lot. He couldn't go to his father's funeral and never helped him get out of prison. He knew the law. Was highly educated. Coped a plea. And exposed the Mafia publicly. That is why he had a mark on his scalp, it’s the same as ratting in the sense. It brings heat, more heat on the ever weakening mafia. But he never put anyone directly behind bars. He did what he exactly said, he walked away. And he has killed someone to, eyes don’t lie. And Micheal is reborn, he thinks though he can repent, but the thing is this. ( If you believe in that religion/ideology ) he’s repented, but at the same time. He’s still that racketeer he was turned to be, he is trying to buy himself into heaven. That man harbours a lot of guilt, it’s why he became so high profile. Indulgence, trying to block out the guilt with money, sex, parties, respect, fear. It never worked. No matter what, he was his fathers son, but not his father. He believed in the life somewhat. But it was a fragile belief. He may admit his true crimes on his death bed, but he is right. He doesn’t have no amenity otherwise . He’s going to be reinvestigated. The only reason, he’s mostly left alone. Because he continues to expose the mafia. The mafia doesn’t exist. Remember. It’s a secret society. But you have hear a former member exposing this and making a wage out of it too. That’s why he’s seen as rat. But he has not directly put anyone he was associated with behind bars. He’s still his Dads son.

    Also, what does he mean a lot of people didn't get a long with Sammy? Sammy was making crazy moves, he was a hitter, he did construction which there is big money in, all kinds of different shit. As an underboss he was with the guys in the street doing a hit with them and organizing everything, you can't tell me a hell of a lot of people didn't respect him. Usually in the mob you're either a money maker or you're a tough guy -a hitter. Sammy was both. I mean hell, he was one of the few smart ones who didn't like being in the limelight.
