We're so glad you found it useful, PapaTru! Creating a floral carpet on a large scale can be easy to do if you know how, and this shows you how to calculate the amount of petals you will need. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our show, and we hope you will join us again soon. Wishing you all the best for your week and beyond and hope you have a chance to enjoy fabulous flowers too!

How do you best clean the rose petals from an outdoor aisle?

Hello Tiny Bit Tipsy! That's an excellent question about removing rose petals from an outdoor aisle. A good broom (possibly a push broom), a dustpan, and a trash bag will be the most useful tools in terms of clean-up and they will cause the least disturbance as well. Ideally this would take place after the ceremony and celebration are finished. We hope you found this video about estimating amounts useful for what you need. Please feel free to join us again for more wonderful wedding floral design ideas and tip, and we look forward to seeing you then. Sending you best wishes and hope you have a most marvelous week!

I have to say that I just ordered from fifty flowers based off this video and the bags I received were about half the size shown in this video.

That's an excellent question, April! It really depends on the size of your design and your materials. Whatever you create you want to be sure that it is weighted down and anchored well, and you may need extra wires or cables to make that happen. While this is a different technique, you might enjoy this show on making a hydrangea wall as it may give you some ideas for your piece: th-cam.com/video/gbJQZAoYxjc/w-d-xo.html We hope that your design will be a huge success and we wish you all the best with it. Thank you for watching our show, please take care, and if you have other questions, feel free to give us a call at 503-223-8089 or send us an e-mail at rose@floraldesigninstitute.com. Have a lovely week!
