What about from face on? Is there a green area that must stay the same and a red area where you can do whatever you want?

Face on is a different ball game as it has everything to do with steepness or flat which affect the “sizing” of your circle. Ball position is very important, proper tilting, weight shift etc. If you watch some of my videos I do for the amateurs you will notice the discussion many times on ball position. This is probably the best thing to monitor is ball position and your hand circle should be setup accordingly

I swing with the Manuel de la Torre method where the body reacts to the swinging of the club.... In my opinion .... best swings of all time: Mickey Wright, Tom Watson, T Woods, Nicklaus, all swung their arms and their body reacted to the swinging of the CLUBHEAD..... not the other way around . YOu seem to advocate the other way around....

I advocate what works for the average golfer, not tour professionals. If someone can benefit from more arm motion, so be it, if someone can benefit from more body motion, have at it. The problem is when you teach a method to everyone, you may help the small percentage that has the ability. After all the student is limited on THEIR capabilities, not the other way around. Teaching average golfers has taught me, you can only apply what works for them, and their lifestyle, and lets be honest, its a fraction of the tour players. This is the ONLY game I know where average Joe's are trying to learn to their motion from the best in the world, and are in constant search for it. I don't see middle aged soccer players studying the techniques and angles of Pele trying to emulate and waste tons of time and money on empty promises that the golf industry shoves down their throats. Just my humble opinion.
