If she comes to Minneapolis, I'll get tickets. Sounds exciting! As someone whose favorite band is Switchfoot I've never seen anyone mellower than Aha, but the Carpenters are their own genre and seeing Tori seems like it would be like seeing Karen and all the memories she evoked in anyone that's heard her music.
I wanted to add: that's so nice of Rumer to do what she did. It's always magnificent when one established artist helps a younger artist who's just starting out. I have lots of Rumer's albums, and her Bacharach-David album is a beaut!
What a breathe of fresh air in the music world! I love her humble personality. She brings a beautiful voice and present music as it was intended, soothing and healing qualities.
Tori is an endless source of joy for this OG Carpenters fan! They were the very first concert that my mom dragged me to when I was a kid. I sure hope I can get to the show!
How nice of you to do a catching up interview with Tori!, so ´Thank you´ Great interview!!!👌👍 @toryholub: Congrats with the upcoming tour! So happy for and very proud of you. It´s so exiting to see your carreer developing ! 👏👏👏 Onfortunedly, I will not be able to attend one of your concerts 😢 as I am from Belgium. But maybe, in the future, you come to Belgium🤞🍀 I never saw a Carpenters concert, although they have been in Belgium in 1974, even in my hometown, but I didn´t know at the time 😢😭😢 So I hope your concert tour will be so succesful, that there will be a follow up concert tour in Europe and Belgium will be included 🤞🍀🤞🍀🤞❤️ But for now, I wish you a lot of success and a lot of fun! Enjoy it to the fullest!!! - with love, Carolien
Sir, thank you for having Tori on your program for a follow up interview. You're still one of less than a handful of people who have interviewed her (that I know about, at least), and they have both been excellent interviews. Both of you are so gracious. It has been a fun year to find out about Tori's music last March and see her do so well as the year rolled along. She seems like a kind and down-to-earth person deserving of a great career making music. I'm looking forward to catching Tori and company in Ventura out here in California.
Great interview Lee! Tori has really blossomed into quite the star in this past year. This show coming up, is going to be awesome, I can feel it and I’m going to the L.A. performance with my good friend. I am honored you used my video at the church. I’m so glad it was helpful in your production. Like last time, you broke some news, I was sworn to secrecy on. Tori said it so I’m off the hook. 😊 A friend of mine has tickets to the Akron show. We are all going to have a great time. Joe
@@1radioboy not necessary but thank you. It’s only on my channel (to my knowledge?). But like I said, you got her to spill the beans on the next song. I can breathe now. 😂 My only sadz was mo mention of Dan. Without him, last summer would have been essentially nothing. He’s amazing and a good friend. Then Suddenly we had amazing songs! 😊 Oh and the giveaway was Jimmy’s head. I had to shoot vertically because of him on the left and the man with glasses on the right. I had a seat in the first row ❤, then I was told friends and family 😱. I had to scramble and got 3rd row behind them. 😊 What a night! Joe
If this was the world of 50 years ago I imagine Tori would have been signed up by a record label by now. Things are different now and I'm not sure how one goes about getting the public profile I hope she will get. For my part I would dearly love to have an album of Carpenters covers by Tori, and while I'd love to hear her live I am half way around the world from anywhere she might sing live. A couple of songs I always thought would have been good for Karen to cover are also ones I think would suit Tori's voice as well, and they are 'Cry Me A River' and 'For All We Know' (not the Carpenter's song but the Nat King Cole song of the same name).
She is amazing. I just love her. So talented and so humble. I have a handful of my own originals that have inspired by The Carpenters. My song Friends Forever has a little We've Only Just Begun feel to it which I wrote for a girl who is my best friend. My voice is okay but like Paul Williams my song needs a Karen Carpenter touch. Right now I have a fanbase of 5 people lol.
Tori, you're gonna steal the show from Rundgren and the rest!! My condolences to them lol. Seriously that is really nice of Todd to include you on the tour. Sing other songs besides the Carpenters to stay true to yourself, don't get lost in the mix. Learn some jazz standards like Come Rain or Come Shine. Always wanted to hear a jazz standards album by Karen Carpenter. I have a high school freeind who knows Rundgren really well. In Junior high the choir teaher had my p;lay th elittle solo in Close to You in 1971. I had to write it out myself...choir teacher was impressed I could do that in the correct key in 8th grade. I became a music teacher. By coincidence, at our 50th reunion class of 1974 last August, I was having a conversation with some ladies who were in that choir, and I found out THEY were the two that sang that song up front, when I played that solo !!! My God, what were the odds we'd meet again 53 years later!?!!!
50 years later …. Well sounds OK, BUT. Karen Carpenter was spot on accurate to the note. My advise Tori ( you are no match ) get a voice analyzer and work on the correct notes. What you lack, and my ear hears little comparison to the purity and clarity you try to match. Yes, impossible, however musically true notes is the best start IMHO An analyzer reflects only the truth and would be a huge help to clean it up. I hear such a HUGE disparity in purity.
Love listening to Tori sing. Meeting Richard must have been amazing. Enjoyed the interview!
Congratulations Tori. I’ve been listening to you for the past few months and think you’re AMAZING!! 🩷
Talented, humble, attractive.
Thank you for having my sister on! So proud of her!
I am a top fan of hers. So looking forward to hearing her in Nashville
Your sister is amazing! I am sure your parents are very proud of both of you!
Hey Sis! Hope you liked the interview. It sounds like Tori has a great, and very supportive family.
Do you also sing?

She’s going on tour with Todd Rundgren?? What a great opportunity!! That’s awesome!
You are a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

Great way of putting it Tori…an adult field trip, it sure was ❤
Finally, Tori will get noticed. I wish she was coming to my home state, Vermont. I hope UT will have some recordings of the tour.
She's so much like Karen, not just her voice but her humility and down-to-earth personality. And she does more than Karen Carpenter covers, you know!
clearly good people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to the concert in St.Pete! What a year it's been for Tori.
This is the first I’ve heard about the concert. Thanks. I hope to see her in Atlanta.
Please come to Atlanta!!!!
👏👏👏 Congratulations from Brazil!!! You deserve all success!!!

Thanks Joe! I would have given you credit for the clip had I known who took it. So glad you captured that moment. My best ~ Lee

Great interview. I bought tickets for the show in Akron so hope to say hello to you Lee.
Looking forward to the concert in Akron on April 1! 👍

PLEEEEEEEZ Come to the UK.
Richard Carpenter said "We were very influenced by the 3 Bs -- the Beatles, Bacharach, and the Beach Boys."

If Karen had lived long enough to have grandchildren, her granddaughter would sound like Tori Holub.
Is there a way to meet her during tour? Found her singing before Carpenter's 55th
Hate me if you will, but I think Tori sounds BETTER than Karen!

Get your hearing checked. She’s pitch perfect on a Karen level. Wings of Pegasus already analyzed her.
