Just picked up a 2024 with the cyan rims and trim and those bars are exactly what i need.
i love em. they saved the bike already.. they did bend a little bit but better them than damage to the bike.
@@GROMSQUATCH Sorry to hear you had to test them did you end up with any other damage to the bike and did you have the back pegs on also trying to see what I can do to protect her the best I can. Also I appreciate the reply!
it was a bummer but they did there job... i did have the rear subcage on but it didnt even touch the ground.. so odd lol..
Looks badass man! Did the upper engine bolts have a piece of rubber in the hole? Mine did and I'm wondering WTF they were.
thanks....hmmm. i didnt see any rubber piece now has me wondering lol..
@@GROMSQUATCH Its all good. Mine had something in the hole when I went to change the frame sliders. I yanked it out of there with a pic.
i think i remember you saying something about that in the vid now. i looked back at my unedited footage and dont see any rubber things maybe was part of the original sliders
Wow this cage looks so good. Are you planning on installing stuntbrake to the handlebar too?
no im not serious enough about trying to wheelie to get a hand brake... i can clutch up a foot or 2 in 1st and 2nd gear but i dont try to ride them out..got the cage mainly as protection for when i do lay it down eventually on the mountain roads around me..
@@GROMSQUATCH Aight i see, does the cage deteriorates driving characteristics in turns? I mean I guess you cant turn the same as if it wasnt there.
at slow speed like doing figure 8 or in parking lot you can feel it a little bit on the top heavy but not bad..get used to it real fast.. but at speed in corners feels fine.. the biggest difference i notice is the drag from the wind but i can still reach the same top speeds and no lag in get up and go...not a big deal but it also makes the yamatick a little bit louder lol.. can hear it resonate through the cage..
I'd only think that these crash cages make it a little harder to do maintenance.
the only thing i can think that would be harder would be the spark plugs just because the cross bar.. but only a couple extra minutes..
I finally found this video. I have a 2021 and im wondering if it interferes with the stock/or upgraded turn signals. AWESOME video. Ride Safe my friend
hey thanks for watching! i have after market TST signals and they go in the exact location of the stock ones on side of Radiator.. in no way does it interfere with the tst ..i also dont see why it would interfere with stock.. should be fine with whatever..if super worried.. id reach out to FMS.. the customer service is great in my experiences..
@GROMSQUATCH can I or do i need to use a small scissor motorcycle lift to support the engine while I install the race rails?
in the video i put a small jack with a piece of wood and some paper towels and just barely put tension on it to keep if from falling.. its what i read to do somewhere and it worked out perfectly..
Wat was wait on them
2-3 weeks i believe... i dont remember exactly
Where can I buy them
you can find some at fullmetalstuntparts.com.. saved my bike this last week in a parking lot fall down.. lol. bent the cage a little but kept the bike nice and proper
