  • In todays video I will do an in-depth review of the 2022 Yamaha MT07. For years now the MT07 has been considered one of the best motorcycles for beginner riders and a staple in the community. Watch as I go over technical specifications, get the bike out on some twisty roads and then test out its’ highway capabilities. For the first time since the beginning of my riding career, I have found a motorcycle to dethrone the Ninja 650 as my go-to starter bike. Find out why the MT07 is still the best bike to start on in 2022 and also can be a great bike for experienced riders. As always if you have any questions or opinions, leave them below and I’ll make sure to respond!

    Great video!! The MT-07 is my first bike and I love it.
    It's so playful and fun, and always feels safe and friendly. Like I can always depend on it and it won't throw me off for small beginner's mistakes. 😀
    You mentioned that the brakes are good, but not great. Just yesterday, I had a guy crossing the street without looking in front of me, glued to his phone. I was doing 80 km/h. Emergency brake and svered around him, without any problem, as a relatively new rider. The MT-07 just won't let you down and I love it for that! 🥰

      Niiice. I went with the xsr700 for my first bike, and it came a few days before I took the msf course.

    I had soo many bikes. I had 2 Mt-07 's before. They were the most fun bikes ever to mess around on and practice getting good at wheelies. Perfect

    I have one, i love it it has a good torque and i put a quickshifter on it i really notice how fast it does 124 now. 👍 But if it was today with the new mid supersports coming again i would go for insted of a naked. nice vídeo! Another think, the mt has a good downforce at higher speeds

    I've been looking around trying to find what I want as a first bike, and I originally settled on the SV650. I'm 5'8" 200lbs and you're making a strong case for the MT-07. I'm just hesitant to get something this large as a first bike

      I don't think there is a huge difference between sv650 and MT-07

    I really looked at this, but I ended up with a Rebel, just because it sits lower. I love my Rebel, but not gonna lie, I always look over my shoulder at the MTs when I see one.

      I really want the 270 crank parallel twin and was looking into the Rebel 1100 also.
      I have decided on the MT07 since I already have a 2014 Yamaha Bolt where that bike allows me to easily flatfoot.

    Looking for a first bike. I'm 6'2, would this be a comfortable bike for a taller person. I'm also pushing 40 and wanted more of a cruiser/commuter bike then a go fast hurt my back type of bike lol. But still wanted that good sound and a little speed to get on it a little. But I'm not a crazy driver. Don't plan on doing wheelies or anything crazy.

    Is this bike a better daily bike than the husq 701sm?

    • @JonesBrosGarage
      @JonesBrosGarage  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes definitely. I own both and the mt07 has a gas gauge which is very nice, tach, gear indicator, way nicer gearing for the freeway, lower seat height. It’s also much more comfortable. With that said, the 701sm is more fun and exciting to ride. If I had to commute or ride one of them every day I’d take the mt07.. for just a fun weekend bike I’d pick the 701.
