4:56 Aside from the Puffball quote, this would've been a foreshadow to what George's role in MRR originally was gonna be before being cut out, as a few episodes of S5 were supposed to be sizzler for the film.
George actually called Thomas a puffball before Diesel 10. Season 5 came out in 1998, & TATMR came out 2 years later. So “puffball” in the movie is a reference to the episode. Also, Thomas1Edward2Henry3 made a joke about the workmen tarmacking the intersection: Take orders from a steamroller? Seems legit.
I think it was interesting how Oliver and Percy were working together since any time we see an episode that shows two green tank engines working together including one of them, we would always see Duck as one of the two engines. So it was interesting to see Percy and Duck in episodes together, then Duck and Oliver appeared in some episodes today, and then we have an episode with Oliver and Percy together.
Being an Englishman from South East London, I never had much problem with awful weather, though it wasn’t always great either, so yeah. Honestly, I may start collecting VHS tapes one day, purely for a nostalgia trip. As for Percy’s Seaside Trip, it was also seen on Seasonal Scrapes, which is very fitting, along with It’s Great To Be An Engine and The Snow Song. Brilliant review by the way, it’s good to have you back!
Received this video as a birthday present in June 1999. Many happy memories of watching it. My favourite episode was Toby & the Flood as it was such a tense and exciting episode. Looking back, series 5 was such a good period for Thomas the Tank Engine. Alas, all good things must come to an end and series 5 was the last gasp of the golden age.
You think the summer heat was bad? Try being Scottish. We're like vampires. We're not made for the sun or heat. We're made for sub zero, pissing rain kind of weather! Give me a raging blizzard over bright, blazing sun any day! Also Happy Holidays is good too, I guess...
Season 5 is my second favourite season of all time. And all the episodes on this release (despite not having it when I was a kid) are great, especially A Better View for Gordon. And the songs were good choices too. 9 out of 10 release.
@@joshuaW5621 No problem 😊 Although I did like how Shaun acknowledged that it wasn't just post-Magic Railroad that the humans were used as the engines hands
I love how Toad comforts Oliver in Oliver's Find, and in Busy Going Backwards, the roles flip. These two are an I iconic duo.
I think I remember seeing this VHS at primary school. Such beautiful memories.

Ah the first Thomas VHS I ever had.

Splatter and Dodge also called Thomas a blue puffball remember,
"Hey hey."
"Just watch what happens to that blue puffball."
5:21 “Take orders from that Steamroller”
“Seems Legit”
"take orders form a steam roller "
"seams legit"

Now we need an episode with all 3 together

0:02 My opinion on a the Angry Birds Movie 2 summed up in a few words
I used to rent this vhs from Apollo home entertainment back in the day and I really enjoyed it
2:28 billy butcher being compared with the fat controller
What a timeline we're living in
It’s one of those rare occasions where Sean reviews a VHS.
For people who wonder why an episode about a flood should be on a VHS about holidays, come to England for a holiday. 🌧

9 out of 10 release.
What’s your 1st favorite(US spelling because I’m American)?
You mean Season 5 as a whole or favourite episode of the release?
What's your favourite season
Season 3.
I’m pretty sure I had this as a kid!
The fact i forgot this VHS existed...
*I feel dumb* 💀
4:17 if this was in season 6, people would complain that Percy is being out of character.
Your next video in preparation for the defense of Season 6 should be a compilation of Percy acting like that in seasons prior
@@fanofeverything30465 thanks for giving me that idea.

I think this review is pretty good.
I remember this at a place I went to alot as a kid
I’ve got this video in my collection
Your summer was crazy.
Bro you are awesome. I can't wait to see more.
New vhs review woooooo!
Yeah, the release’s title doesn’t make sense. Happy Holidays is a saying during the “WINTER HOLIDAYS!” (Sorry I’m American.)
This is a great release imo
Nice vid pal can you do a vid about the upcoming marc Forster film and what you would like from it
i hope you see this but it would be perfect if you reviewed thomas’s halloween adventure
Cool video
At least the UK’s summer wasn’t as bad as Florida’s…
As a yankee… the cover feels very confusing. Even if it’s supposed to show off the summer holidays instead of the Christmas/Winter holidays
