I dunno how most of them would rank, but my favourite has to be Last Train For Christmas. I remember being indifferent to a lot of CGI episodes, but Last Train was something special, especially the first time watching it. It was the first time in maybe 15 years where I was actually invested in the story and action...
Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree has always been my favourite Christmas episode. It’s just so funny, and It was a great finale for Ringo Starr’s narration.
Perfect Ranking, I love all the last 8 episodes on this list! Also I just realized, in thomas’s Christmas party… you can see someone walking by in the background of the sheds. 21:26
I love Christmas episodes in TV shows, hence why I adore the Christmas episodes of Teletubbies (like Christmas in Spain and Nativity Play). The best Xmas episodes from Thomas are Thomas and Percy's Christmas Adventure and especially Last Train for Christmas.
I sometimes think if Donald and Douglas came back in season 18 taking over Hiro's role of pushing the heap of snow aside, it would have been a real banger. I don't mean Hiro wasn't a badass in that scene, but if it were the Twins, I would get even more chills. + Luke is so adorable in Duncan the Humbug. I really like the interaction between Duncan and Luke.
I'm impressed that Last Train for Christmas ranked Number 1 on the list. But at least Thomas & Percy's Christmas Adventure came in second. As long as you ignore the US dub, it's a hell of an episode. Have a Merry Christmas, Sean!
13: It’s only snow 12: Duncan the humbug 11: Daisy’s perfect Christmas 10: Santa’s little engine 9: Thomas, Percy and the Christmas adventure 8: The last train 7: A Cranky Christmas 6: Letters to Santa 5: Terence breaks the ice 4: The Christmas coffee pot 3: Thomas Christmas party 2: Thomas and the missing tree 1: Diesel’s ghostly Christmas At first, I wanted Thomas and the missing tree to be in first place. But in diesel’s ghostly Christmas, Thomas helps to show diesel the true meaning of Christmas. The classic series will always be my heart, but this episode really shines. Merry Christmas to all.
Me ranking Christmas Thomas episodes: Ho ho snowman: I think Henry has Flying Kipper PTSD. No snow for Thomas: "Thomas, Emily and the snowplough" done right. Thomas' animal ark: I wonder how long it took for the ostrich egg to finally hatch with James not moving a single inch... 😂🥚 Diesel's ghostly Christmas: I think NWR1991 predicted this special with his old video "Diesel's Christmas carol". Daisy's perfect Christmas: That's my girl! ;D The Christmas coffee pot: Marion was my only gripe... Letters to Santa: I feel like Percy secretly hates Harold since they first met. Over the hill: The eye of the tiger song during the start of Stephen and Glynn's race to old folk piano music had me crying! 😂🤣 The Christmas tree express: The only thing that I liked was Rheneas meeting the Logging Locos since loads of characters in the Nitrogen Era has met them in the next 2 seasons. The perfect gift: It was fine. Percy slowly getting annoyed as Reg works while he describes the details about Christmas killed me... 😂 Terence breaks the ice: *Don't judge a book by its cover playing* Duncan the humbug: Duncan cringing while trying to be kind for a day when he meets Rheneas and Rusty is comedy gold for me... 😂 The missing Christmas decorations: I wonder how did Sidney survive the fire in "Day of the diesels" since he, Norman and Paxton didn't speak... 🤔🔥
For me Terence gets what’s coming for boast about his caterpillar tracks. Reg annoying Percy as he was explaining to him about Christmas 😂 & for Percy yeah I agree with you.
I do like "Last Train For Christmas" and agree that it's the best Christmas special, but I always disliked how disconnected the story feels. I think the episode would've worked sooo much better if Spencer was the main instead of Connor, as him pulling the last train would've been great character development to show that he's being humbled. In addition, it would've made Hiros involvement more meaningful in this story. In HotR, Spencer wanted Hiro scrapped (for some reason lol). Anyways, this would've been a great showcase to have the two interact and have Spencer feeling guilty still over his past behavior. But Hiro would acknowledge, accept his apology and feelings of atonement, move on, and convince Spencer to let it go and instead, work together to get the last train home. And THEN we transition over to Sodor again where all the engines are working hard. These changes imo, would've made Hiro clearing the snow much more meaningful because now he's not running away from Spencer, but is instead clearing the path for both the last train, and to symbolically help Spencer move forward as a character (Oh wow, did I really write all that?)
Actually, you're right. Thomas should know he shouldn't steal, hell I know the RWS isn't canon to the normal series but he literally chased a person because THEY WERE STEALING (stop thief btw)
Gordon Takes Charge is also set during the Christmas season as well, how come no one else knew about this. Then again, Lucky Day and Keeping Up with James are also not included on the list.
3:16 didn’t we establish that Sir Handel grew up by season 10? They even explained what happened to him earlier in the season. I thought people knew this.
They explained that he went to work in a stone quarry. That doesn’t automatically equal him gaining a personality that is a complete 180 from his own. I’m OK with character development, I just think it was handled better in the CGI series. There he seems to still have his old personality, but he has more sense now.
And I agree that why did Thomas thinks sir toppen hat would scrap Glynn? Take Hiro for example, when Thomas explains to him in hero of the rails. He wouldn’t do that to the master of the railway.
Probably just see the scrapped engines and assume he's responsible even though they were most likely shipped over from the mainland long since deceased or never alive in the first place
Why do i get the feeling that there are a ton of episodes missing? *cough, cough* Snow *cough* Oliver the snow engine *cough* there more but my throat hurts *cough*
5:49 yeah I wish Michael Brandon could’ve continued more narrating more seasons 17-20 and Michael Angelis died 8 years later in the 75 anniversary and what if Mark Monaghan is the new UK narrator due Angelis

Agree
Last Train For Christmas is such a gem. We were so lucky to have an episode like that during the CGI era
This might controversial but I think that last train for Christmas is the best cgi episode
@@williambarnett8566 That ain't controversial. I'd say it's a perfectly valid, maybe even accurate opinion

"Last Train for Christmas" is probably the best Christmas/Winter episode out there. Such a freaking gem.

25:05 And Hiro’s entrance in this episode was (pardon my language) badass

No Snow for Thomas feels like a mix of Thomas, Emily, and the Snowplow, and It’s Only Snow.
Best: It’s Only Snow
Worst: Thomas’ frosty friend
1:13 To give them credit for the animation, there is this moment where Thomas’s wheels slip on the ice

What about the model series Christmas episodes
My favorite Christmas episode is Last Train For Christmas
Thomas Xmas episodes Realy hit different tbh
Really Good Video! 👍
Also Can I Ask You A Question?
Funny enough I’ve got a video ready saying what is my favourite Christmas episode and why it’s that, great video loved it
"Merry Winter Holiday" is so ridiculous sounding that it goes from being frustrating to absolutely hilarious.
The CGI faces at 5:13 being lit completely wrong against the sunset got me ROLLING
21:28 OMG THE FAT CONTROLLER IS STANDING ON LEGO I CANT BELIEVE I NEVER NOTICED THIS BEFORE!!!!!
Very nice list and Last Train For Christmas is also my favorite Thomas Christmas episode.
I really like Stephen and Glynn together and I wish we'd gotten more of that. Their race was comedy gold.

Amazing video
I cant wait for ur HOTR video 😄
16:05 this is honestly an absolute masterpiece episode the ending should be better soon
0:14 but the real question is
Christmas Swim, or Verandah Santa

Merry misty island I remember watching once in 2014 and its still bad. Good video
Nioce video btw in last train for Christmas all the main characters have a important role except Gordon who I don't even appears.
The slip coach overshooting the platform explains to us the reality of all but one GWR slip coach.
Every time you said "not that bad", I mentally added, "Well, maybe just a tad."

I’m guessing it’s because they are more winter themed, but then again, at least one of the episodes on here is as well.
My favorite Thomas christmas episode will have to be Thomas and the missing Christmas tree. There is just something about that episode. 😊
Hi Thomasfan261 👋
Merry Christmas dude
I think the best christmas episode's are either Thomas's animal ark or santas little engine
I have a feeling you skipped over "Henry's Lucky Day" and "Keeping Up with James" because they are Christmas episodes, too.
Are you subscribed to Calm by any chance? Kate Winslet reads a Christmas themed Thomas story on that app, and it is divine!
5:49 yeah I wish Michael Brandon could’ve continued more narrating more seasons 17-20 and Michael Angelis died 8 years later in the 75 anniversary and what if Mark Monaghan is the new UK narrator due Angelis
