yes and even when you are in BMT theirs a lot of little things that you have to worry about and keep track of

Also duude either basic has changed a lot since I went or AF basic is really different from Army. They took EVERYTHING away from us besides religious items.

from what I know it just depends on your MTI’s and what you do as a flight

@@itsscaeleycx I'm guessing Army is just a little more strict then because as soon as the bus pulled up to the reception barracks DS was on the bus screaming at us to give her all of our personal items and it was like midnight when we arrived. They kept us up until about 3 am having us collect our issued items and pack our down range pack. We had to strip down in front of female DSes and switch out our underware and bras for standard issue sports bras and plain underware, then we had to go to post and buy several more pairs. It sucked because I was on my period the day I arrived lol. I somehow got away with them never taking my glasses because my glasses looked so much like the BCGs they issued, but we were definitely not allowed to wear contacts. A male DS saw my friend's green eyes and threatened to rip her eyes out if he found out she was wearing contacts. Such great memories haha. That first week in reception before you ship downrange is just constant screaming from drill sargeants. One DS even put this guy in a choke hold because he talked back to her (she was an MP). It was hilarious, we all cheered when she choked him out because he was a dick and nobody liked him.

Also, you got IPADS?! We couldn't have ANY tech, not even a watch. We could only have one notebook and one pen.
