their really is no storytime. You’re just so worried about yourself and wanting to take a shower, you don’t really pay atteattention to how others look or what you look like. You just get in and get out

you will not have your phone at all, it will be locked up 24/7. And they make y’all go to be at 9pm and wake up at 5:45am no exceptions

@@itsscaeleycx so no phones or any gadgets for the whole BMT that last about 2 months? also, you said wake up in 5:45am so i assume they have 15minutes to prepare and then the training starts at 6am? and alsooooooo who do the laundry? :))

you’ll have a laundry crew who does all the laundry and correct no phones or gadgets the whole time. You will get a phone call 0 week, 3 wk, and 5 wk. As for the morning time that’s up to you when you want to wake up. If you know you have to do extra stuff to get ready in the morning make sure to wake up earlier to get it done. Your technically supposed to sleep until 5:45 but no one does…

yes you can bring baby wipes or just wait to buy them at the bx when you get here. All bottles for hygiene have to be 3oz or less cuz you have to go by the airport rules on that. and no do not bring any gaming pc’s/consoles

I just looked up the length of Army vs. Airforce basic and Army is still 11weeks, Airforce 8wks?

air force is 7.5 weeks

from what I know it just depends on your MTI’s and what you do as a flight

@@itsscaeleycx I'm guessing Army is just a little more strict then because as soon as the bus pulled up to the reception barracks DS was on the bus screaming at us to give her all of our personal items and it was like midnight when we arrived. They kept us up until about 3 am having us collect our issued items and pack our down range pack. We had to strip down in front of female DSes and switch out our underware and bras for standard issue sports bras and plain underware, then we had to go to post and buy several more pairs. It sucked because I was on my period the day I arrived lol. I somehow got away with them never taking my glasses because my glasses looked so much like the BCGs they issued, but we were definitely not allowed to wear contacts. A male DS saw my friend's green eyes and threatened to rip her eyes out if he found out she was wearing contacts. Such great memories haha. That first week in reception before you ship downrange is just constant screaming from drill sargeants. One DS even put this guy in a choke hold because he talked back to her (she was an MP). It was hilarious, we all cheered when she choked him out because he was a dick and nobody liked him.

Also, you got IPADS?! We couldn't have ANY tech, not even a watch. We could only have one notebook and one pen.

it’s always better to get waivers before joint though that’s for sure! For my experience yes it hurt and my hip was sore for a little bit but for other people it was bad. Everyone reacts differently

yes i’m actually graduated from basic. So yes you can drive yourself to meps and then the hotel but the 2nd day you all take the bus too meps and you’d just have to take a bus back or find a ride back to your car. I wore jeans and a t-shirt, and yes my meps did get cold inside and from what i can remember you can’t have a hoodie/jacket but you could wear a long sleeve shirt. As far as what you bring with you, as long as it’s not a dangerous item…
