I thought a similar thing. I thought he'd have to stop howling as that's not really allowed for vampires and that it would have been more fitting for them to become a werewolf.

The main reason almost nothing worked is because you took the vampire mod but edited it, so the mod still considered Lynix to be a human, so all of the vampire specific things treated him as a human, such as the cloak giving him poisoned or nausea from hearts.

manz had the vampirism mod installed but didn't actually make Lynix a vampire from that mod, and used what I'm guessing is a data pack
Next time, you should get Lynix to eat all his friends and become a vampire hunter to stop him. Introduce a little more adventure into the mix
