My portals i had nothing but problems. I am going to get the Metal Hub ends for the stock wpl c24-1 axles. Put them back on. I like the wheel speed and miss it. I honestly having a hard time even driving my WPL sense i got the scx24. The 24 just drives good and is so much fun. Love this Hobby
I know the feeling! But what I do in those situations where I have a new rig that makes it hard to go back and drive the older one, then I make the older one better and drive it to. This hobby has no limits on how we can change the way any one rc is and thats awesome! The wheel speed is what I like on some of my rigs too and I save the super scale slow fun driving for my Toyota Hilux RC. Im going out now and driving a faster rig for some fun woods driving. I hope you get to make the c24 drive just perfect for you too cause its awesome in its own way! Get rid of them portals if they aint doing the trick heck man the cool thing now os you have a dedicated crawler (scx24) and now if you want a faster c24 than you can and if you want to go do some slow crawling you always got your jeep scx24 I love this hobby too friend! Im just making suggestions and I want you to have fun and enjoy your rigs. ☮️😄
Oh i noticed your steering Rods on front. For clearance i put my Long one. on top of the steering knuckle spot. Then used a little longer screw and stacked the short servo rod to top of the other one. hehe :)
Yeah im gonna need to make some changes but im waiting for these little shims i ordered first. If the shims dont work right then im gonna just order the wpl metal axles. When the time comes and Im ready to arrange the steering rod, I will definately use your experience with yours as a guide and I greatly appreciate your help! I will do that cool trick with the longer screw too!
One thing I really like about that RC4WD blue truck is they have kept the steering rod nice and high up out of sight and clear of being hit with anything in a nice spot. I am driving my yellow land rover now and its got some nice speed i like but i dont like the exposed steering rod on it at all. I will be working with it soon. I will be using one of my steel long spacers and a longer screw to get it up higher than posibly a steel slider/protector I have in my parts box made for trx4s may fit on it?
Your welcome! Its crazy how much that one video made the wheelbase look so narrow! I literally had to doublecheck and shoot this video out there to make sure I wasnt seeing things lol! My Wpl 24-1 was ALL aliexpress . All the parts and Truck. I spent maybe $150 but i also got Extra Hotrc 6ch, extra 30a esc. Motor, Metal servo, Which i still haven't used Hahahaha. This fall i will fry the stock wpl servo in water or Snow. So i am ready. The scx24 was $125 without the tires an wheels an extra brass and stuff which was given to me. WPL was perfect to get started. Cheap and i learned. Few times it almost got Thrown off the cliff but i love it.; Hahaha
The c24 is still the best one to get for all the cool upgrades that are available! This one I can fit the 370 wpl transmission and motor single gear setup i have onto it with no cutting just plug n play though. I javent decided what rc im gonna put that 370 setup onto cause i still have that brand new wpl jeep like toyota rc that it will fit onto also.
