Wake up babe new RW just dropped.
Thanks for spreading the word!
I’ve said it before and have to say it again…this is one of your best videos yet. The quality of the video and the editing and coverage of not only the races but the Chamonix area.
thanks so much!
OMG you always have the best footage for the runner weekend coverage. Amazing and so exciting! Thanks for bringing us along!!
Thanks for coming with me!
Wow, Just Wow!, thank you for taking the time to put this amazing, beautiful vlog together
Craft deserves props for standing behind TommyRivs through his illness. So great to see him living life!
The angle you got on Jim at the finish with Jess smiling at him. So amazing.
I was able to secure media access for this event but not photo credentials. But had I been in the pen with the accredited photographers, I wouldn't have gotten that shot.
sometimes things work out, even if you think you're getting snubbed.
Yeah, kudos to you working with what you had!@@kofuzi
Glad we got to meet up and share some miles! Keep up the great work!
So good to see you in Chamonix!
Can’t wait to see Mike running in UTMB next year ;)
As always, perfection. Love these runner's weekend videos so much
Thank you. These are my favorite kind of video to make
Nice cinematography. Fun to watch.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stellar work. There are some great Chamonix videos out there but the way you captured it is amazing. You and Dan Whitehead… the chamonix video experts!
I’m flattered to be named alongside Dan
Cannot express how much I appreciated this recap. It had everything...amazing scenery footage, friends, trail running, emotional finishes, food. Watched it with my wife (also a runner) and son like it was family movie time ✌️
that's so great to hear! hope the family enjoyed it for movie time!
EPIC! What a weekend to experience. And I love watching how Zach finishes every race. Such a fantastic video, thanks for sharing, Mike!
he runs with such intensity!
Run4Adventure was there too. It would have been sweet to see a Collab vid between two of my favorite running channels.
This Rocks I'm not even thru the entire video but have to say the mix of music, video and the cuts are crisp and so on point!!!! Thanks Ko for sharing. 🔥🔥🔥💣
Thank you so much for watching!
Good to briefly meet you!! Hope you had a great week there (take me back!)
such a wonderful place!
One after another these Runner’s Weekend videos are riveting, beautifully filmed and narrated and simply the next best thing to being there. As I mentioned on the LS, seeing Chamonix takes me back to being a 14 y.o. spending part of a summer with a French family there. I’m sure the breathtaking beauty of the region played a partial role in my love of the mountains. I’m so happy for and proud of J. Walmsley and Courtney D.!
It’s a magical place
Great footage! Also, perfect time for your first trip to UTMB haha. History has been made that day for sure.
this was the first time I've gotten to see Courtney run. the race did not disappoint
@@kofuzi I'm sure! I teared up watching the live stream, can't imagine all the emotions seeing it in real life.
Gorgeous views and footage and what an exciting weekend! So many emotions from the runners!
The finish line was intense at all hours!
What a fantastic experience! Thanks for taking us along to see how Europe celebrates trail running!
I've never seen anything like it
I hiked the full TMB loop last July in 11 days and it was tough and these guys did in 20+ hours. Crazy!
I’d really love to do the Tour
That QC Therme spa made an appearance in Jeff Peltier's UTMB video last summer. Looks great.
There isn’t a race or a location in the world where I could go where Jeff hasn’t already made a stunning video.
I hope I get to meet him someday.
Another epic video! Your talent to bring all the feels is truly remarkable! I'm a forever fan!
Thank you so much 🙏
Every time you make a runner's weekend, I want to go to that place!! I love trails but I have no mountains near me and seeing the mountains around the UTMB course really make me want to be able to go there!! And isn't Hellahs memory just a killer 😝. Very interested in what 100 mile race you will run with him 😁😁💪💪
The mountains make for such an incredible backdrop
The music choices really cap off the great video. Excellent work Ko
Runable! 😂
someone tried to tell me that most of the UTMB course is runnable. I no longer know what this word means
As always, thank you again for bringing us along. Amazing video!
Running in such a beautiful place is an ultimate enjoyment
There’s no place like that
Ko's caption game was strong. Had me rolling
Merci
Amazing!!
Legendary 🙌🏻
Best running video! Bucket list trip for sure. Thanks for sharing and letting us experience it thru you!
The Midi Cable Car Run looks like a lot of fun! How cool! Also, I'm glad your tights matched the color of your hat. Look good, feel good, run fast! Love these videos too!
That cable car run was probably one of my most fun running adventures ever
Always great to see Hellah. His WSER film was epic!
Awesome! What a feeling!
A great week for running!
Here we go. Chamonix, baby! 😎🥳
yo!
Mike, you really outdid yourself on this video. Thanks for taking us along on your journey.
Thank you for watching 🙏
Sweet. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Excellent video felt like I was there! Love to hear how the Craft trail shoes went!
Fantastic video! I love your runners weekend series- keep making ‘em!
Thank you Otaku
Goosebumps 🙌🏼
🦢
Finally got to watching this, Ko. Beautifully done once again.
Thanks for watching!
Appreciate your work. This is brilliant. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🙏
Breathtaking view ❤
Everywhere I looked it was gorgeous
What great experience you shared with us! More adventures! Really enjoy your work!
thanks so much!
Wow! That video was worth the wait!
Thanks for watching!
So many runs! Doing the triple! Take that, Jakob!
I’ve really been looking forward to this
hope you enjoyed watching it!
I like seeing how Kofuzi and Charles (RRR) now they salute each other after seeing the shoutouts in their stories through time
Love this video. Keep up the great job and nice to see more footage of the train run races!
thank you!
This will be my post race treat to watch on Saturday after my 25 km Race The North Face in the Brandon Hills of Manitoba.
Love the Runners Weekend!
Have a great race!
@@kofuziIt went well except some trail rash after a tumble. All in a days day on the trails!
Amazing video. Great recap putting us right in the action with you
thanks for watching!
As usual another great video presentation! Hope to see you next year at the UTMB.
Happy to go back there any time
Great video! Keep inspiring us all!
thanks!
Just wow, amazing shots & vantage points all week. Great video all around!
Thanks so much!
What a video!!! Once again Kofuzi you nailed it. Thank you so much for sharing with us these wonderful experiences.
thanks for watching!
Yoooooo great video!
🙌
😮😮😮😮😮 wow what a great and beautiful place to go for a run. 👍🏼
I’ve never been anywhere like that before
MAGICAL VIDEO
Thank you 🙏
that was awesome
thank you 🙏
You captured the event beautifully
thank you 🙏
Amazing views and footage! Keep up the great work!
will do!
This was a good one, for a trail runner, or any runner in fact.
thank you!
Probablement, le plus beau vidéo de l’UTMB que j’ai vu, bravo encore!
Merci 🙏
Wow, just wow! Thank you for capturing and sharing with such artistic elegance🙏👌💯
Thank you for your kind words
Your RW videos are next level. Love them.
Thank you 🙏
Amazing video as usual. Was nice to meet you again in Chamonix! And thanks for finding me the ride back.
Great to see you in Chamonix (and Budapest!)
Awesome storytelling and footage!
Thank you 🙏
so nice to see Tommy Rivs out there!! even nicer to see Craft still supporting him!
Letssgooo 🙌🏾
yo!
Kofuzi You are The GOAT,,,I really Love it . Your Fan From The Philippines🇵🇭.. See you in the Next one.
Thanks for watching!
Was nice seeing you at Craft sportswear meet up :)
Nice to see you too!
footage is amazing, shots very well composed, mountains (and Aiguille du Midi) are looking sharp and crisp, however I would recommend everyone to visit Chamonix and enjoy the mountaineering all around whenever they feel like it... except during UTMB where the heavy crowds are unbearable ^^!
I’d love to do the Tour and take my time around the route over the course of several days
@@kofuzi do it! many (not to say "most") people do it this way. a friend of mine did it in 5-6 days a decade ago... more as a hiker though :)
You have outdone yourself, as some have already said , this is some of your finest work .. up there with your failed 3 hour LA effort coverage a couple of years ago (and subsequent grandma's) . While imo the 'serious runner's' / Sage's content of his race takes the emotional award this year, we are so lucky we get this FoC , this matches anything that professional media companies output. Bravo and thank you.
thank you for your kind words!
Thanks for the French lessons. “Un sandwich”. I am now prepared for any trips to France or Quebec. 🤣 Another wonderful video - thanks for taking us on these journeys.
those two semesters of French I took back in the late 90s came in quite handy on this trip
Epic! Appreciate the mention of "having the money to spend on their sport" -- Trail Runner Disneyland ain't cheap.
I think it’s going to be off-putting to a lot of people. I had my reasons for putting it in, but I also probably could have used more artful language
Not sure how I will address this kind of thing next time, like for example if I were somehow tasked with covering Diamond League Monaco
What a dream vaca!
Waking up there each morning was very much like waking into a dream
🙌
There's Serious Runner in his Boston shirt! Lol to the short track/fast splits.
After we all met up but before we started the run, we were walking through the expo and I saw a guy wearing a Boston jacket. I immediately looked over to Stephen and was like, one check that guy out! And that’s when I noticed he was already wearing his Boston marathon LS
Your run footage at around the 10:30 mark, I'm pretty sure, is an area I recognize from one of the "outdoors" workouts I frequent on the gym's treadmill.
this would be a good place to get that kind of footage from
Had no idea you were covering this event until you showed up in town, but an absolute pleasant surprise! About time UTMB gets the Kofuzi treatment! The only thing missing now is footage of the actual race itself. Hope that one day you can bring us along in one of the UTMB races.
The dilemma is always: do I want to show the race from my perspective? Or do I want to showcase the pros?
It’s impossible to do both.
@kofuzi you make the right choice. Lots of outlets showing pros. Only one kofuzi!
My friend podiumed her AG and was in around the top 30 OA females! It was exciting following from home so I can only imagine being there!
The finish line is incredible!
@@kofuzi I don't necessarily want to run the race but I'd love to be there for it!
you almost converted me to a trail runner with this video :D
it's pretty fun
@@kofuzi i will try it this weekend 💪
I swear the best parts - dramatic music, runners crossing the finish line, exhilaration, Kofuzi eating...LOL
My favorite parts too
The craft pure trail was the most common shoe that I saw personally in Chamonix. It wasn’t even athletes wearing it and it was release week. Big surprise. I guess it’s a shoe for the people
there was a giveaway as part of the launch. that always helps put the shoes on a lot of people's feet. but I suppose it's a good sign when people are wearing them, as it's not like people didn't bring their favorite shoes with them to Chamonix
As a fellow midwestern flatlander - your trail running is really impressive. I'm pretty sure I'd have been going down face first.
I definitely tripped over some rocks, but thankfully, no falls
Love Jim, glad to see him make it happen the 5th time. Love Zach, happy he had a great day that most years would have won. Love Courtney, she is the GOAT. These trail racers have great personalities and are fun to follow. So different from Budapest and the track, which was cool in its own way.
I really wish those three story lines could have been split out over three different years. There was too much good stuff to follow and I couldn’t capture it all.
Wish I could be there
Such great energy there
Morning coffee and a Kofuzi Runner's Weekend is a glorious combination. Thanks, Kofuzi. And sorry to nag... but is a Boston 12 review video upcoming? I know you've been super busy with travel and other products.
Eventually
Amazing shoot Kofuzi! Can you add captions to Tim's T ? I can't pick out what he's saying there at the very end.
I don’t think I can add captions after publishing. Auto CC may be able to pick it up. I’ll update the description with what he says later when I get back home
Aah mate, that looks amazing-thanks!
Im thinking;maybe I could do that 100km one lol/maybe my wife good eat that raclette??? cheese thing???
Great edit as always Ko
thanks so much!
@@kofuzi If I can make the pizza thing on the Friday before Chicago Marathon how can I get involved?
Omg! Thats amazing - this is the first time I ever seen Vietnamese ppl represented and it so cool to see Hau Ha Thi get 4th place! Very cool!!!
it was a party at the finish line
Do you post your run routes? I’ll be in Chamonix in a few weeks and would love to run some of these!
Everything I did is on strava. Link in description
Michael! I have the Tunnel Light Marathon tomorrow. Alphafly or Saucony Endorphin Pro 2s?
dealer's choice. Endorphin Pro 2 is a bit firm for me for the marathon distance, but on a downhill dirt road course, that pretty much balances it out
@@kofuzi thanks. That was my thought process as well. Love my Alphaflys, but maybe on softer ground it evens out and gives me more stability.
Rivs!!!
it's always good to see him
@@kofuzi The two of you in the same place! Legends! Thanks for sharing!
Raclette cheese is sooo good.
it was tasty
When will we see kofuzi running the UTMB?
it is unlikely
Yooo whats the name of the track playing when you went to CRAFT ?
DJ played a lot of things
@@kofuzi it's a song you played over the video (5:19)
I thought you were going to run UTMB. Is it happening anytime soon? ;)
I love being there for the week to cheer everyone on. I don’t plan on putting on a bib anytime soon
looking forward to seeing next year's OCC results with Kofuzi's real name on it. You're destined to run it Michael. Great video, maybe interview Sage next time.
These courses are all so intimidating. I’m not currently at a point where I’m considering them
I would join the kofuzi TMB tour group!!
I really think we should do this next year
the Tour, I mean.
I have no desire to do any of the races that require night running.
Yes, I can live without the U. 😂
