    Great Video! I just got my first ever dash cam, the A119 Mini 2 after seeing glowing reviews on DashCamTalk. As I only got into dash cams very recently, this video showing the history of the A119 and Viofo was amazing. Appreciate it

    I still think the V3 was a fantastic dashcam but the Mini 2 is a step above

    are the bases for "A119s v2" and the new Mini 2 the same? Are they interchangeable? How about the CPL filter is it interchangeable on all the A119 models?

      The bases for the VIOFO A119S V2 and the A119 Mini 2 are not the same and are not interchangeable. Each model typically has its own specific mounting design to fit its form factor.
      However, when it comes to the CPL filter, the A119 Mini 2 uses the same CPL filter as the A119 V3 and the A129 series. This means the CPL filter is interchangeable among these models, but it does not use the new CPL filter of the A229 and A139 series.

    Don’t know if I can trust Viofo after my A119 v2 decided to fail me when I needed it. Worked fine until this past month when a car hit me and fled. Corrupt footage for the past month. Doesn’t look like it recorded properly for the past month and even corrupted older files that we’re recording full clips.

      Looking for a camera that automatically backups to the cloud to in case the SD card gets corrupted

      Sorry to hear that, sounds like it was likely an issue with the SD card in the camera, which on average needs to be replaced every year. If you'd like a camera that uploads to the cloud, then BlackVue would be a great option.

      Has tons of problems I returned mine after it had issues day one I use Thinkware it’s the best I had yi dash cams with a Samsung evo card in both for 4 years straight never replaced the sad card so that’s bull that the sad card needs to be replaced every year viofo excuses on only working on certain sad cards the camera are low quality

    The A118 C2 and A119 Pro footage was recorded by me in my quicksand Tacoma. But Blackboxmycar did send the A118 C2 to me for review, and I will always be forever grateful for BBMC and Alex's support in my early days. Great video on the history of one of the most important dash cams in the industry. :)

    Cool retrospective. I had no idea that the new ones had voice controls. I've got the A129 Duo and the Plus Duo, would have been cool to see in the timeline where Viofo started to get into multichannel.

    I've learned a lot and really enjoy the Viofo A119 line. The latest model Mini 2 seems great and it's just a very focused 1 channel dashcam with features that I think most people can appreciate. I've only used Viofo A119 V3 myself but I'd love to try the Mini 2 when I get a chance.

    Just upgraded from the mini to the mini 2. Mostly because of the voice command of take a photo.

    Can you put the mini 2 on the rear window? I already have the a139 pro

      You can put the Mini 2 on the rear window! It would behave as a separate camera from other systems in the vehicle.

    A129 PLUS DUO, The stickers cant hold rear cam keeps falling, and VIFO customer support SUCKS, they said to send it back, leaving me with no protection, SUCKS

      Try Gorilla Tape Heavy Duty. The 3M stuff it comes with doesn't do very well in the heat

      ​@ZorroDaddy Yes I had the same issue. Replace with better tape, also make sure to install on a cooler day like 80F and make sure both surfaces are cleaned well with isopropyl alcohol

      @@lepoldbuttersstotch aha, 80 temp, makes sense, yes I do clean it first, Thanks again my man, next step will be cams on the sides, they dont seem to have such with at least 140 degrees
