    Thank you for this tutorial. I purchased some acrylic night light blanks for engraving. They were supposed to be the correct thickness, but when I received them they were too thick to fit the Cricut. The shipping to send them back was almost as much as I paid for them so I added them to my stash. After three years, I'm glad I've found something to do with them. I plan to use the Gulf of Mexico sunset pictures I took this past winter. I understand there is a chance they won't turn out, but for me it's worth it to at least try. Thanks again.

    After sub and cleaning put the acrylic back but use spacer to keep hotplate 10mm away fom acrylic let it heat up again and distortion and tape marks disappear
    Think the acrylic remelt
    Do not press with heatpress just let the top stay 10mm away for the same time you pressed first time

I've been wondering about the glue spray for sublimation on metal tumblers in a tumbler press, instead of stressing out about taping edges, etc. Have you tried spray on tumblers and mugs? • @AngieHolden

      I didn't try the pad. There shouldn't be any need to wait as the sublimation is either permanent immediately or it will never be.

    • @JaneofArc
      @JaneofArc ปีที่แล้ว

      I just learned that you shouldn't use alcohol with plexiglass or acrylics. Anything with ammonia, abrasives, aromatics or alcohol should be avoided to prevent cracks and microfractures in the surface of the acrylic. I haven't done any tests, but I thought it was worth mentioning in case it affects the lifetime of your project or damages the finish, vibrancy or structure down the road. I'm curious though if anyone knows for sure.
