How Iterators respond to threats:
Looks to the Moon: Ejects you out of her box(Spearmaster)
Five Pebbles: Ejects you, and if you come back he obliterates your cells.

I find it hilarious how those massive deadly ascension Xs just make a little pop sound.
ikr youd expect them to make a massive reverb boom or something but no its just _pop_
the karma 10 that you have as saint also makes a pop sound when it misses, so that's probably why
When you get hit, it makes the normal Saint ascension sound, but when it misses, it makes the normal Saint ascension miss.
That doesn't really change that I think bigger thing sounding the same is goofy.

You realize the string has zero correlation to anything they're working on and has everything to do with geographic proximity.
You're concerned.
The iterators share notes with increasing frequency and decreasing participants. Sending broadcasts, overseers...and yes, sometimes slugcats. You don't really see the point of the little fellas, but you perk up whenever one finds its way to your chamber, mosty uneaten, somehow alive.
Maybe one of them has news on what's happening.

Saint's ascension power isn't killing the creatures exactly, i imagine it sorta like how the echoes affect you when you meet them. (nvm ignore that last part i just remembered hunter is eating meat not killing creatures)

i know this is no canon, but i really love the theory that Saint is the triple affirmative. and perhaps Sliver was not defending herself, but testing Saint's abilities and control, to make sure she has created a perfect ascending machine. she doesn't appear scared or angry or anything, she's as calm as can be, just sending beams and lasers onto a weird fluffy mouse in various patterns. she could probably use her powers to trash Saint around or kill them the way Pebbles kills you when you attack him, just zap Saint out, or blasts the lasers as much as she can, but she is testing how well they would be able to survive various threats.

Five pebbles is able to instantly kill any slugcat given the provocation to do so. With the assumption that every iterator can do so, It's unlikely that sos wasnt holding back. I know this sint canon, but my first interpretation was that this was a test designed by sos. This is obviously wrong, and it is unlikely that saint is the triple affirmative at this point, but i doubt sos was giving it her all anyhow.

@@KoreaMoment While the challenge isn't canon, it doesn't necessarily disprove Saint being the triple affirmative, or at least one of the triple affirmatives, considering he's got 3 dots on his head, can ascend people, and this boss fight exists.
I think it's mostly trying to point us in the right direction.
I had no idea this is what the challenge mode was wtf I thought it would be like “kill a vulture” “kill 2 vultures” “kill 5 vultures” but nah we got this undertale shit what the hell I love it and we got canon iterator design kinda and also what the fuck Sliver

It's crazy to think that Saint is the reason why Sliver Of Straw is dead. But better yet, (SPOILERS)
Saint ascended ALL iterators! judging by the ending, we see the distant iterator cans crumbled like 5P and LTTM. Iterators can't just die by a mere blizzard! There must be a culprit! (And as we know, the rot is really weak to snow so it's not them.)
Edit: And yeah, I know the challenge is not canon. But as I said before, saint's ending nudges us in the direction that saint was going to iterator after iterator to ascend them! Connecting dots with environmental storytelling has always been the staple of this game!

@@Albertable 5P and LTTM's can are broken because of the rainworld story and 5P's mistake of taking Moon's water and creating the rot. Ence why everything is falling apart.
As for silver he ascended long before the story and Saint may be the message from silver. The triple affirmative. To give ascension to the other iterators

Most people would expect a final chalenge with a literal Boss fight to have some epic music,even If non-canon, but when you think about It,Thats How most Boss fights would Go.
Sure,some games have their music be Canon,but for most its something that no one hears,other than the player and maybe the main character, meaning there would be nothing but the sounds of atacks and running from Said atacks.
But this boss fight is literaly a slugcat demigod forcibly ascending a gigantic robot AI demigod,so It wouldint be hard for the AI to play some tunes.

While the devs said the challenge isn't canon many people have taken that to mean that saint isn't the thing sliver made, however I personally think that it is canon but just the fight isn't. A little misdirection you could say.
yeah, it's a little frustrating how vague it is since apparently a big chunk of the RW community has decided that Saint meeting SoS ever is not canon and that he can't be the Triple Affirmative because challenge 70 is non canon.
Sliver's scream there at the end is haunting.

When you read through da pearls, its said that slivers only remaining data was a simulation inside a simulation. Seeing her also using the giant x to kill saint, it means she already applied the idea. Though there is still the question of why saint ascended her in the First place

I wonder if completion of Challenge 70 adds Sliver of Straw to the iterator puppet room in the Rubicon for the Saint run. Possibly more dialog if you ascend all 3.
Also, what if Saint keeps reincarnating to take care of the iterators. They keep getting echoe’d, but instead of being in that ghostly intangible tentacle-anteater state, they return to their actual body. Maybe they optionally return to the world out of their own to help all creatures ascend, and their motivation to do so is what binds them to the world.
The rubicon could be a purgatory of sorts.

these iterators do die and its shown in the end of saint that they do die and it seems canon because this iterator does die without warning and radio signals take time to transfer so saint could have been killing this one while bsm and fp are getting the message also saint cant really loose to any iterators fp may destroy others but saint is built spiritually and shown by how fp got acsended in one hit the cans will fall to saint which is probably what hes been doing
to think of it sliver made the saint and then fought the saint i think he was training the saint to be capable of killing all the iterators even the ones that did not want to acend cause why else would sliver first make it then send a tripple affirmative and then fight it to not get killed by it

I just beaten this boss and MAN it took awhile like somewhere between 10 to 20 hours and I so feel the bonus clip at the end of this video where I died at the very end because of some left over attacks, IT HAPPEN FOUR TIMES! as hard it was it was very fun to over time getting better I am now one of the 0.3% of players who beat this.
btw theres a way to cheese the last phase of the fight so look down if you want to know
In the last phase you can just hug the wall at the left or right and you can't get hit, well until the dots starts going up and down but it not too hard to avoid him
I am very close to giving up on this fight. After hours I've not even beaten phase two. To tell you the truth, this is the only part of the game I genuinly completly hate

I honestly just wished phase 4’s Ascension bubbles were telegraphed better. Only reason I die there is because they keep fucking spawning infront of me, leaving me no escape.
