  • This short video shows how the QR code on the Fx991 Scientific Calculator provides visualization and graphing capabilities. QR codes are not necessary on Casio's graphing calculators because the visualization is built into the graphing calculators.

How do you get Casio graphing calculators to graph more than one set of statistical data at the same time? If you go to Andrew Borne “Statistical plots on the TI-84 plus or TI-83 plus” there are three columns of statistical data. He plots two different statistical graphs on the same screen to compare them together. It seems like my Casio fx-9750Gii doesn’t seem to be able to do this.

Yes, the Casio calculators do this. On the 9750 or any of the graphing calculators, go to the STAT menu (should be next to the Run-Matrix menu). When you click on this, you will see four lists - right arrow and you will see you can add as many different lists/data sets as you want. And then you can graph and compare however many sets of data on one type of graph. You have choices for the types of graphs as well. Once you've entered the data, you click F1 for graph, then F6 for set to change it to different types of graphs (scatter, histogram, circle, etc.) Here's a link to our Quick Reference guides (free download) that will show you the steps for multiple things to do on the calculators. www.casioeducation.com/quick-reference-guides

The CLASSWIZ almost makes graphing calculators unnecessary in many applications. $20 vs $110. The best TI scientific calculator(TI-36XPRO) doesn’t have the capability of the CLASSWIZ. Actually it doesn’t even really come close. If you want just one calculator that will do almost everything you want including advanced engineering without paying a lot of money, the CLASSWIZ is unbeatable.

I don't think I could have said it better!! Agreed - the ClassWiz really is so powerful. But if you do need graphing - the CG50 graphing is only about $85 (WAY better than TI too).

Karen Greenhaus I also have the Casio fx-9750GII if I need direct graphing. These two will give you the most power you will ever need for everyday calculations wether in school or in the science lab or engineering firm. If you need anything more, there are computers for that.

I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to know, did you buy these emulators from Casio or did you find emulators of them online? If you did find an emulator of them, please share it because I want to familiarize myself with the fx-CG50 before making the plunge and buying it (I'm a student).

These are purchases. I like them because I can use them in my videos and class rooms on the computer/projector. Here's the link where you can get the simulators and apps for applicable Casio calculators. edu.casio.com/softwarelicense/index.php I know they have free download trials...I think it's 90 days.
