    As for gaming :
    i. Genshin Impact : 30-40fps
    ii. Honkai Star Rail : 50fps+
    iii. Assassin Creed Rogue : 40fps+
    iv. Resident Evil 3 Remake : 20-30fps+
    v. Valorant : 45fps+
    Played on lowest with 720p resolution
    Could also run Autocad 2021 smoothly
    It cost around 80$ in Malaysia

      @@HaisteComputerRepair ah, frankly speaking as I am aging, my eyes do so too, 1080p on 12.5 inches display can be cumbersome to find a good scaling sweet spot (for Linux DEs, was fixed rather recently!). But anyway, shame that past gen Thinkpads are coming often with mediocre TF screens.

    I'm pretty split in my choices but I wanna ask, is X260 good enough for light graphic design work (but primarily for typing and general use) for travel and campus? I'm concerned with portability as well, and the other option I was pointed at was the X1 Carbon gen6, more pricey tho.

    • @HaisteComputerRepair
      @HaisteComputerRepair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      X1 carbon might have a better display panel. Also a bit larger being 14" RAM is soldered on to the motherboard, so if you get the 8GB version there is no way to upgrade to 16. Seems that 16 is the max. So, the display panel and the RAM capacity (x260 having one DIMM slot) seem to be the main differences between the two.

    Hello again sir. Would like to ask your opinion. Im sort of attracted to this model of thinkpad and cant stop searching the net for good deals. But im still wondering if its practical for me buying it in 2024.
    Im not a programmer. Im an MD who oddly likes emacs, org-mode, and tinkering with emacs, i use spreadsheets and make letters occasionally and occasional media consumption; im a linux user so thats no windows for me if i ever get this. Im wondering, coming from a person with hands on experience with the x270, is it practical for my needs? Thanks in advance.

    I have ordered a Lenovo ThinkPad X260 in " excellent condition" ? it has standard specs, Lenovo ThinkPad X260 12.5-inch Ultrabook - Core i5-6300U 2.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, HDMI, WiFi, WebCam, Windows 10 Professional 64-bit (Renewed), my question is what is the maximum RAM I can upgrade this with please? thanking you Roger

    • @HaisteComputerRepair
      @HaisteComputerRepair  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well, you could install 1 x 16GB DDR4 RAM stick in the 1 x available slot. Do not bother going over 2400MHz as speeds will cap at 2133MHz. Though if you find a good deal on any speed DDR4 SODIMM, it should work fine. Max 16GB RAM is what was tested from Lenovo at the point of releasing the product specifications, however one could assume that 1 x 32GB could work as well. Ex: my T480s has 40GB RAM (8GB soldered and 1 x 32GB SODIMM) and product specs had it listed at 24GB at time of release.
