This repair would’ve been denied by EVERY other cobbler because it’s such an accessible shoe for cheap. Plus, usually the customer would ask for so much and would be willing pay for so little. However, it seems like the owner was a keen customer and is probably a fan of your craftsmanship. I think you’ve made it extra special with the almost bespoke feel of it now. Well done! It’s refreshing to see people repairing goods in a world where buying new always seems like the best option.
I agree. I paid $23 for a pair of Adidas for my kid that look just like this. However, I have old boots and shoes that I would use a cobbler for if I had one local to me! It's a dying art that should be preserved.

I would be interested to know how he assesses the quality of the brands after he always takes apart your shoes like that. He can certainly assess which ones are worth their money and which ones were processed very cheaply.
Check out Rose Anvil on youtube. Hes a tanner and hes cut up all types of footwear. Shattered backboard jordan ones, premium workboots, yeezys, and stan smithesque minimalist sneakers.
Plot twist: Guy goes down to local Foot Locker and buys new pair of Superstars for $95 lol Great work, and I get these videos are also for ASMR, but I'd like to see shoes that are worth getting a restore, like a lot of your other videos. Vintage shoes especially.. the restore of the 1985 Jordan 1 was definitely worth a restore, so do more sneakers like that please. Vintage Jordans are super popular right now too, so you might get the SneakerHeads over to this channel too. The Jordan 1 video is what drew me to watch multiple other videos, you can bring over a brand new demographic by doing a bunch of vintage Jordans. Just a suggestion.
I love your videos so much! They are very relaxing and interesting to watch. I have two pairs of Adidas Superstars and one of the pairs has worn a lot but I walked many years in them. I had them fixed up and plan to keep walking many more steps with them!! ❤
It's not worth fixing them unless they add better materials. That jersey fabric on the heel will wear out within 3 months, and the leather is suede with a plastic coating, the plastic finish you can repair with cheap acrylic paint but eventually the leather will split, especially if it's a tight fit and at that point you have to make a brand new panel.
I love watching cobblers restore or repair boots. Good boots however, are made to repair. This looked like a nightmare, yet they turned out fabulous. Love it!
It will be back to the same state within 3 months of wear. These shoes are just built so cheap it's not worth to repair them if you're just gonna use the same materials the factory did.
