The whole point of prayer is to be closer to Allah, and when it comes from the heart then you will be rewarded. You mentioned in the mosque. You do know they only read out aloud because it's an imam who leads the prayer. So following an electronic prayer mat is completely wrong
Im a revert and have never prayed before, neither do I know Arab. I find it quite hard to understand the tutorials on youtube on how to do correctly salah. This map is definitely very very helpful.
