I didn’t know that. Be nice to have screw on pommel , Be easier to fix for when or if leather disk need to be fixed . I only gave 57 for the knife , online the are 60 - 80 bucks . Like everything else , you want one you better bite the bullet and get it now.

Awesome knife. Ontario is a hit or miss on quality. I have a Ontario reproduction M3 Trench knife that is beautiful, sharp and 10 out of 10 on quality control. I also have a pilots knife that looks like a drunk blind monkey finished it. Yours looks great! They just just got those back in the display cases, I think I'll check some out.
Just carry the leather sheath as much as you can , the patina and humidity in the air will do the rest .. I was carrying a new sheath in India during the monsoon in tropical climate , and the leather when very dark brown in a couple of weeks ..
Just purchased. Comes in a few days. My knife collection is getting a bit out of hand. 🤷♂️

Nice knife! I didn't realize Ontario made it for Case though, but now that you mention that it does completely look like an Ontario made knife.
I think it’s the same with the early scout knives / camp knives and Marlin Spike blades.

I think you would like it . Something about the style of the blade.
The metal is parkerized, just like every us military small arm since after WWI.
