- Shannen Doherty opens up about when she learned of ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko's alleged affair on her 'Let's Be Clear' podcast. ET has reached out to Iswarienko for comment. The 'Beverly Hills, 90210' alum, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, says she felt 'betrayed' by her now ex, shortly before undergoing brain surgery earlier this year. Speaking with ET's Rachel Smith on Wednesday, Shannen says recording the podcast has been 'cathartic,' as she navigates her cancer journey. The first episode of 'Let's Be Clear With Shannen Doherty' is streaming now on all major podcast platforms.
We are losing our civilized society. Morals and standards of how we treat others is disappearing.
Although that might be true, a cheating spouse is nothing new.

What's the biggest problem with Shannen is she went through this before she's got involved with married men post was Melissa Gilbert's husband Bo Brinkman (allegedly) when was Julian McMahon her costar on Charmed (who was still married to Brooke Burns who they share a daughter) and then with Kurt who is still married and then all these bad boys that got involved with smoking and drinking and at one time at 18...drugs. I said before I said again to everyone that was on TH-cam if I knew Shannen Doherty none of this wouldn't have happened.

@@JP-he6rq No!!!!!!,her exes and Kurt is and you unbelievable of not learning from this Shannen should've learned not to get involved with these guys and she did it again and again and again if you take a look of Shannen's timeline since she was 18 to 36 (when she met Kurt )she could have stopped smoking because smoking leads to cancel she could stop drinking that led to her DUI in the year 2000 she had a drug issue by her first boyfriend that led to her alcohol issues and that boyfriend was 31 years old and she was 18 and she thought he was 28 we the People magazine article with her on the cover in 1993 then she had these flings with married men Melissa Gilbert's husband,Brooke Burke s husband and then she met Kurt he was still married. I really wish this didn't happen to her but she should have had real friends to stop her from doing all this. Cancer is not just about genetics it's also about your lifestyle and Shannen has been trying to look back all the regrets that she's done and try to patch things up with people. You also got to remember Kurt friends betrayed Shannen too and then some of them couldn't handle her cancer they left Shannen too. I want to see this and this is honest, if I was 10 years older and if I was in Hollywood like Shannen if I got to know her I would have married her I would love her cherish her and then the father of her children and we all lived happily ever after. But now those dreams are shattered. The alternative:would I give up my life for Shannen to be alive as well as her father and Luke Perry as well as all the suffering and death (the war in Ukraine,Israel/Palestine)
My husband cheated for 1 full year before I found out. I found out on my FAMILY VACATION. My family was trying to enjoy our Family Vacation and his mistress was literally tracking us in real time from 2700 miles away! She knew where we were and what we were doing! I have all the sympathy in the world for all the other men and women out there who have gone through infidelity discovery. Poor Shannon. Such a strong woman!

It happened to me too right before and again after many breast cancer surgeries and reconstruction…The only reason my ex proposed to me was because when I had the 12 hour Surgery Double Mastectomy plus taking my stomach muscle to reconstruct to living breasts with attaching from arteries to make the blood flow…Just before the end of our relationship I found out he was buying and looking at juvenile pornography and saving all the pictures on his user on the computer…Plus he had pictures of young twelve year old girls being forced to do unnatural things to the elderly women…My ex is attached to juveniles, elderly women and men…I cried for so long and all this to say I share her pain and I am always praying for her health and wellbeing ❤❤🙏🙏

It might be, (might) more complicated than that, in these types of situations. Not to justify the actions but to seek explanation of such experiences it might require an analysis of how individuals handle trauma/traumatic events/diagnosis. The man might feel afraid, may experience insecurity within himself. It is a common experience for women suffering from illness, thus there might be more of an explanation then blame or failure as cruelty/insensitivity. Might??
How cruel. Shannon is honestly an inspiration for any woman. Imagine going through cancer and the insecurities, body image issues, grief, fear that comes with it and then having to deal with the excruciating pain, grief and self esteem hit that being cheated on gives you. I'm so sorry Shannon.
I went through a betrayal that devastated me and my body was in good health. I can’t imagine going through what I experienced and also dealing with cancer. I respect and admire Shannon so much for how she has carried through this ordeal.

I have a friend that had cancer and while she was going through treatment found out her husband was having an affair. She survived the cancer and ended up divorced. I have since found out this is not uncommon. A lot of men will leave their wives when the wife is faced with a serious illness. Most women will stay with their husbands when the husband is faced with a serious illness.

That confirms that men are incapable of love. It’s their nature to be predatory and animalistic and it has been scientifically confirmed. What happens is that some can control it better than others. Women don’t need men, men need women, what women need are resources to live happy and stress free. I can relate to the betrayal while having life saving surgery last year i discovered later on that the ex husband was looking online for another woman. I came out of hospital traumatised, trying to cope with his mood swings he moved out nine weeks later, 7 months later he txted me while with the girlfriend that he was divorcing me. In less than a year i nearly died, my husband left, had an affair i then had to leave our home as he was the main wage earner. I moved in with my dad and i have been this year putting my life back together and healing from the trauma. I have more surgery coming in the new year i am grateful for family, friends and work colleagues( i volunteer at a charity shop) and a councillor who have helped me this past year. I know i didn't cause the breakup thats all on the ex.
I am sorry you had to deal with someone so disloyal, while experiencing health issues. but you have grow in this past year and he hasnt, he is still a jerk. you are fulfilling your life's purpose of eternal growth.

The adultery is bad enough but when you discover it’s a friend who your husband repeatedly told you he couldn’t stand it’s a double betrayal as you struggle to deal with what did they say about you when you were confiding things to your friend, hurtful beyond anything you can imagine, a stranger would be less cruel. I found out about the cheating when the news was all about Shania Twain and her adulterous husband with her best friend and you think if it can happen to that beautiful talented singer what chance do us ordinary women have.
Personally, I laughed at my husband when I found out he was cheating 😂. She was fugly, I think I hurt his feelings 😂. We worked it out, but damn, you're supposed to upgrade not downgrade.

Cheaters will cheat, a woman could be as beautiful and amazing as a goddess but at the end of the day if she married a cheater, he will cheat. I think it's more the thrill of forbidden fruit and "getting away" with it, than who their spouse is.
We were diagnosed in the same week, same cancer, same treatments and surgeries. And I was so in awe of how loving and supportive her guy was since mine had me feeling so very alone in my cancer. Then this and I’m so angry for her because she loved him so very much.

I married a man after three years of dating. Three months after our wedding, I found out that he was in a five year relationship with a woman even before he and I got together. I asked him why he would do such a thing, he said that I was the one who provided financial security. That we were a power couple while the other girl was a dead end. I filed for divorce four days later. I called the girl and apologized. I told her I had no idea she even existed. I haven’t dated since.

omg I'm recovering from a benign brain tumor and have experienced similar things in my dating life... they make me feel "unloved" as she said. I thought I was the only one who can't find a good guy during this hard time I'm faced with this illness. I loved watching Shannen Doherty in "Charmed", "Heathers" and "Beverly Hills 90210", etc I was diagnosed in 2015 too.
Seeking a romantic relationship with a man will only make your life worse while you're recovering. I hope you have family and friends that you can lean on for support.

I think he was there waiting for her to die so he can benefit financially and he didn't have the guts to leave her while she was battling cancer. He was expecting her to die quickly and maybe she wasn't fun to be around with her sickness maybe he needed a better life, a nice healthy woman he can have a future with, without hurting Shanen but she stayed for too long I guess for him to hide his double life. Im not saying he's right or wrong, I'm just trying to analyse the situation. But it must be heartbreaking for her, especially that she expressed how worried she was for him in case she dies, she thought he will be devastated beyond repair. The guy had already a backup plan! She was dead wrong about him.

The energy we give out comes back to us, no one is exempt.
A secure attachment personality style wouldn’t feel comfortable having an affair.
A fearful avoidant attachment personality style and also a dismissive avoidant attachment personality style would feel comfortable.
A pre occupied anxious attachment personality style would entertain an affair only because they have a fear of abandonment but they would feel very uncomfortable having an affair even if they know their partner was stepping out of the relationship. This is because pre occupied anxious people act out of fear (they enter the affair going against their core values so it creates even more anxiety) so those usually fall apart very quickly.
Here’s the thing, since a secure attachment personality style has an empathic heart with healthy boundaries they’re NOT going to be attracted to someone already in a relationship.
The only personality types you will attract if you’re having an affair are either fearful avoidant attachment personality styles or dismissive avoidant attachment personality styles only.
There’s your karma you attract that energy you put out and attract either a narcissist to participate in the affair with you or you attract an empath without healthy boundaries also known as pre occupied anxious. Either way the affair will be more work on your part to keep it alive and you will either be a parent to an infant or you will be the infant throwing tantrums.
Either way it’s not a desirable relationship to enter into. Trust me people are coming clean with their experiences in affairs and it’s never as easy going and fulfilling as it seems.
Shannon is beautiful she’s strong and she has a wonderful support system family friends fans she has more people loving her so she doesn’t need that creepy guy.

Happened to me but it wasn't cancer i had. I was very ill and had many difficulties. My ex left me for another woman. Come to find out he'd been seeing her for awhile, even tho he denied it.
Yes, Shannon, there really are decent men still walking this earth. My father was like yours - very faithful to my mother even through his years of alcoholism. It took me too many failed relationships, but I finally found one. Keep your heart protected, but open. ❤️

Cheating is not among those accectable reactions. If the gender were inverted, the woman would be insulted by almost everyone. It's bitter that women are supposed to be the natural caregivers when men have health issues, but in the contrary situations men just "might feel afraid". Is the courage hidden in ladies panties?

I am so sorry of her passing, and about what her husband did while going through this of course I went through something similar I did not have cancer but my children passed and my husband was having I believe to affairs among other things. But then it just doesn't even matter at the end about them. So proud how she handled it, for me he was out of here. And did not look back because I have three precious souls I have to take care of my grandchildren. Rest in peace Shannon and I'm so sorry and for her mother I'm so sorry, much love peace and light for you

This is really unfortunate, but I have heard such stories before. My heart goes out to Shannen. ❤She is fighting for her life and needs her husband to be her ROCK. However, her husband is a human who has been in a TOUGH situation and has given into temptation. There is no justification for adultery. However, being a caregiver for a LONG time is very draining and many people sadly cave into unhealthy behaviours like drinking, drugs and affairs to cope. May GOD heal Shannen and strengthen her 🙏🏽
