      @Iggy Filmy Productions Whenever I get around to making it, plus at present time this is a pretty comprehensive list, so I can't really make a Part 2 until there's actually enough new content about The Valeyard to make a part 2 about.

    I had a thought.
    The Valeyard is the Timelord Victorious
    As you mentioned the technical 12th incarnation was the meta-crisis “10” so it has to be after the meta-crisis but before Matt smith.
    He is also a dark kind of version of the Doctor, now the darkest time of the doctor during this time frame was the “Timelord Victorious” moment.
    Now I can’t explain how he becomes a real person. But it’s science fiction, so imma just say the time lords used some machine to make a real person out of the doctors mindset during the victorious time

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have done a theory regarding something similar, I don't think he IS the TimeLord Victorious, but that certainly plays a part in his "pre-origins" along with other dark moments The Doctor experiences around that time

      The Valeyard is not a incarnation of the Doctor. He's a amalgamation of the Doctor's darker sides in a single person

      Thanks and I put it there BECAUSE the video contains spoilers, and I've had enough experience to know that if you put anything online with a spoiler in it without warning then you can almost guarantee someone will get riled up about it.
      It might annoy people but those who know the video will contain spoilers can just skip it and those who don't know then it serves it's purpose

    A Captain/Ace collaboration awesome. The Valeyard has always been a character that has intrigued me so this has been really informative. I think Moffett really missed a big opportunity by not explaining the origin of The Valeyard in Hell Bent. In my mind The Doctor is so - for a lack of a better term - hell bent on saving Clara that he causes a paradox resulting in his regeneration splintering off and thus The Valeyard is born.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks and by "saving" Clara he doesn't create a paradox because she's become a fixed point, she is still dying but she's just alive between the moment of life and death...as for it making The Doctor regenerated I'm not sure where that comes in, plus technically The Valeyard's creation would have been earlier than that.
      If you check out my fan theory then I have put all the information together to come up with an idea that fits into the narrative

    • @royalewithcheese9291
      @royalewithcheese9291 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I should've pointed out that this is my own take on how Hell Bent should have been and therefore does not line up to what was seen on screen, so apologies for the misunderstanding there. But I do feel that The Valeyard's origin needs to be addressed at some point down the line and your explanation certainly does work well.

    The Valeyard in "He Jests At Scars..." is basically portrayed as the Time Lord Victorious: A version of The Doctor who decides "screw it, I'm going to use time travel to make the universe a better place. I'm going to destroy the Daleks at their creation. I'm going to wake the Silurians up early so they can sort out their feud with the humans. I'll save these people, kill those." He goes too far and ends up breaking the entire web of time.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not really, the "TimeLord Victorious" was the result of The Tenth Doctor being (so he thought) the only TimeLord left, whereas in He Jests At Scars, the TimeLord's are still very much alive and well as they are the ones who send Mel to stop him.
      As I said The Valeyard is more akin to The Meddling Monk in that story in that he decided to alter history as he sees fits but ends up causing more damage.
      Plus "He Jests At Scars" came along WELL before The Waters Of Mars, so if anything it would be the other way round, that the TimeLord Victorious, whilst not ACTUALLY The Valeyard is "part of him"...as I suggested in my theory

  • @Kittiesofdeath

    The 13th doctor would actually be matt smith(not jodie whittaker), i could imagin the doctor in his final days on trenzalore doin what the valeyard said, thats would also be an interesting story for big finish to do.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No, Jodie is always The Thirteenth Doctor because whilst Matt’s incarnation is the thirteenth incarnation overall, he’s only The Eleventh to be called The Doctor.
      I have done a video on these lines explaining it :
      th-cam.com/video/qGNHu5RJwmw/w-d-xo.html
      And I have also done a fan theory about what The Eleventh Doctor did during his retirement which slightly corresponds to The Valeyard’s claims

      @@mainemail5506 Yes they were both different incarnations, same face, same Doctor but different incarnations. The Doctor himself confirmed that on-screen in Time Of The Doctor.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes he did, the line is "number ten (doctor) once regenerated and kept the same face", meaning the regeneration process was completed (not just to heal as he initially claimed), therefore becoming a new incarnation, even though he retained the same face.
      It might not be EXPLICITLY stated "he's two incarnations" but it's very much implied, as well as being the logical reasoning

    The Valeyard is a mysterious character but sometimes you have to like his character :/

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think that why his character is likeable, because of his dark nature and mysterious origins being part of The Doctor it puts an element of darkness in The Doctor far greater than anything we've seen before

  • @williamwebster9437
    @williamwebster9437 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think I have a theory on the Valeyard's origin but it might not work at all.
    In the Brink of Death (The Last Adventure episode 4), he was created by the Time Lords (possibly the CIA) using black ops technology. Maybe the Time Lords abducted the 10th and 11th Doctorsand used them to create the Valeyard in a future war (possibly the Time War) but he was a failed experiment because of his inability to regenerate and then became rogue. Also, the Valeyard told his story differently in Trial of the Valeyard and Every Dark Thoughts to cover up his true origin.
    As I said it's just a theory. There Isn't any evidence to support this but to me, it's the logical explanation I have.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an interesting theory, however the main issue there is that the explanation given for his origins in The Brink Of Death, are told by Genesta, who is later revealed to be The Valeyard in disguise, with The Valeyard refusing to confirm if there was ever a real Genesta or not.
      As such the explanation given for his origins there are no more or less plausible than those given in TOTV & EDT, bearing in mind that both of those stories also take places BEFORE Brink and even The Sixth Doctor acknowledges that his origins in TOTV may have some truth in them.
      Also the idea of abducting the Tenth & Eleventh Doctor's is a bit hard to add into the continuity given that Gallifrey was locked away at that point cut off from the main universe and frozen in time, but that being said it could be debated that they still had access to The Doctor's time stream and may have been able to extract The Valeyard from that.
      At the end of day, that's just my thoughts though and if you're happy with the theory that's all that matters! And even if it doesn't QUITE add up for me, I will concede that you certainly have the beginnings of a good theory there!

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No because contrary to what people seem to think/say The Timeless Child didn't retcon or upset or change the established history of the show in any way, all it did was expand on an idea which existed LONG before The Valeyard ever came into the series

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well by definition (at least for anyway) any Doctor is not part of the main narrative line up, either undisclosed or alternate is Unbound so I will most likely be discussing them as part of that series of videos

  • @MephProduction
    @MephProduction 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    As The Valeyard was last seen disguised as the gatekeeper of the matrix, which he used to put the doctor on trial and made it show the wrong events.. it's possible this will tie into the current Timeless child story line.. what the master saw in the matrix could be what the Valeyard planted there.. as he is in charge of it now.

    • @CaptainJimiPie
      @CaptainJimiPie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was when he was last seen on TV, however as this video goes into detail he has seen been seen many more times, and later stories which take place AFTER Trial Of A TimeLord have other Keepers Of The Matrix, suggesting that at some point The Valeyard was found out and removed/separated from the Keeper he took over.
      Which in turn would concur with the events of Trial Of The Valeyard with him being on trial supposedly for those events.
