wow..i bought my car used just noticed oil leak where sensor is..... just ordered new part...it has been running pretty good, but glad i caught this issue.. update the senor had no 0-ring on it....so i found one that seems to work at stopping the leak. so far so good...
Great video . Have a Altima 2.5l parts comes in tomorrow gonna change cam and crankshaft sensors . Love your Altima videos always watch them . Next I have to change my rotors and brake pads already watched the video and ready to tackle it lol .
this job is a lot easier removing air intake..it allow you to clean any oil leak mess better also... i also find it much easier to remove sensor than remove connector... i had a lot of oil leaking from mine...who ever removed it last time installed mine without O ring....i cleaned mess and found an o ring i had lieing around and it seems to have fixed leak... i will check again after i drive car 100 plus miles and see if it is still all good...
+0Fresco7 The camshaft position sensor will sense the position of the camshaft, and the crankshaft position sensor senses the position of the crankshaft to ensure the engine is running properly.
Am workig on w006 altima.intially I had crank sensor code.i replaced crank sensor with after market one still car cranks but no start any help will be appreciated
They’re essentially the same part . But they are in different positions and do different things . The crankshaft sensor positions the crankshaft and is under the throttle body , the camshaft is near the top of the engine like in this video and positions the camshaft . Camshaft creates power , crankshaft delivers the power
+Gamma Izta Thanks for watching! Here is a link to the camshaft position sensors we carry for a 1999 Neon: www.1aauto.com/search?q=camshaft&year=1999&model=84
+Fernando Moreno We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

Literally the easiest thing I’ve ever fixed! Don’t be discouraged and go to a shop, this took me a total of 3 minutes

Hello. So what is the difference between the Camshaft position sensor and Crankshaft sensor?
+0Fresco7 The camshaft position sensor will sense the position of the camshaft, and the crankshaft position sensor senses the position of the crankshaft to ensure the engine is running properly.
@@1AAuto So i have 1 code popping up and that is p0725. Would that be the camshaft or crankshaft sensor?
For a 2005 nissan altima they are the same exact part, just in different locations.
@@0Fresco7 Any answer for this? I have the same code coming up, did it end up being the cam or crank sensor?
Am workig on w006 altima.intially I had crank sensor code.i replaced crank sensor with after market one still car cranks but no start any help will be appreciated
Thank you, sir! This video is very helpful!
is there only one for this vehicle model?
Cam and a crank
But there's 2 cam position sensors on that car??.... (seemed noteworthy)
I have an 06 3.5 just bought it I have the code for camshaft sensor bank 2 is this the same one?
Thank you so much!!✨💜wonderful video..so easy to follow!
Is this the same for Nissan maxima?
No. Maxima has the v6 vq35de and this video's the 2.5 4 cylinder qr25de
How do you know if you need to change it?
Orange Labella the car is hard to start or doesn't start sometimes.. The car will throw the cam shaft code when it gets really bad
Is THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR AND CAMSHAFT ANGLE SENSOR AND CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR?????

Do you have the cam sensor of neon 1999

I swapped it out but it still bring the code up for that sensor. Followed wiring all the way no exposed wires.

You calling it a camshaft position angle sensor, is this still considered a camshaft sensor?
+Saul Hernandez Yes, it is a camshaft position sensor.
@@1AAuto thank you
I have 06’ Altima 3.5 SE-R. I’m having a hard time locating the darn thing. My engine is different
Much appreciated!
Ok I can do that. Thanks
Why won’t my car start after replacing the new one
I ripped the sensor out of rage
I replaced it and the car wouldn’t start. I put back the old ones and it start back up. What can be the reason for this?
