    Excellent video and I too like your no BS - one shot - video. I have both the RSPdx and RSPduo which I've played around with. After watchin this collaboration of SDRuno and MultiPSK, you have re-ignited my interest in observational HF monitoring. Amateur Radio Extra Class here and I now see the SDR units as essential part of my HF toolbox. Thanks again...

    Excellent video!! Thank you, I can now decode something with my SDRPlay and SDRUno. I will be buying MultPSK. Although a little quick, pausing helped. Now for FT8 and more ...

    Interestring, I have been using SDR# + Airspy 2 previously. Two comments:
    1. Please lower the audio from the SDR; the whining is painful when using headphones and attempting to listen to your comments.
    2. I have Audio cables (at least when used with SDR #) They appear to very volume setting dependent. SDR# has a number of plug-ins that interface directly with SDR# (SimpleDMR, Simple DPMR, POCSAG), not requiring you to constantly switch between speaker and VB cable for output. You appear to have found a solution to both listen and decode, but do you still have to adjust SDRUno volume to fit the decoder ?

    • @SDRplayHamGuides
      @SDRplayHamGuides  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I don't need to adjust the volume in SDRuno,

    Awesome video, thanks for providing it. I like your no BS take on doing these. I just have one request if possible: Either if you can change your screen resolution when working with gui's as complex as this one or get one of those screen recorders that you can zoom in a little on the fly during the recording process. Thanks again!

    Mike,
    Helpful video. Spent this evening receiving HFDL signals for the 1st time using your freq list. Had multipsk running after watching. Quite a learning curve on the program. DGPS looks interesting but no luck tonight. Will purchase multi. Watching all the vids on the channel. Would like to see one showing all the ways of tuning around quickly and accurately. Lastly, The lo doesn't show in my display as it is in the manual. Is this from an update on the software? Thanks! 73.

      Glad you found the video helpful. SDRuno can now auto seperate the LO from the VFO. Options (ON/OFF/SPREAD) can be found in the MAIN panel setttings input tab.

      I don't remeber to be honest. It was either the Bonito Megaloop FX or the W6LVP loop but currently I use a Cross Country Wireless loop.

    I can see why people would be turned off by the GUI on MultiPSK; it is a UX/usability nightmare - it looks like a joke someone would show in a application design class to show what NOT to do.

    • @SDRplayHamGuides
      @SDRplayHamGuides  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used this application for about 15 years.Stick with it, MultiPSK is very powerful considering the price of entry for all of its features and functions.

      @@SDRplayHamGuides No thanks. Nothing pisses me off more than clunky annoying GUIs - I'll keep my santiy and avoid it. I can barely stand using SDRUno with its clunky UI - see the memory panel as one in many examples. That panel in itself has many very very annoying issues.

      You have lots of free RSP compatible software to choose from. Select the one that fits your workflow or take a look at the documented API and have a crack at it.

      Mike, I use audio repeater (comes with VAC). I have set up patch files for each of my 15 VACs. Just double click on the batch file and the audio is routed where tell it (say speakers).
      Example:
      start "audiorepeater" "c:\program files\virtual audio cable\audiorepeater.exe" /Input: "Line 4 (Virtual Audio Cable)" /Output: "Speakers (Sound Blaster Z)" /BufferMs: 500 /BufferParts: 20 /Autostart
      ; /Min
      The source names have to exact from the source list. I can easily listen to any VAC output (even at the same time. I have all 15 bat files.,as a shortcut) in a desktop folder.
      Love your videos.

    Hi Mike at 3:29 when you 'Save Parameters' I see you get an error message window 'The following sub-directory is not correct' but you glossed over it ;) I also get this every time I try and save parameters. I've tried numerous directory paths, even one to the root of the drive and still get this error message. I even get it if I choose the option for Multipsk to create the sub-directory. Any idea what is going on? I'm on build 4.40 btw. Thanks.

    • @SDRplayHamGuides

      You will need a VAC and configure FL Digi to use that VAC pair as its input.

    So it MultiPSK will work with any (SDR) hardware since it uses the audio/microphone input? How does it compare to MixW?
    I'd love to try decoding CW on 6m.. then doing MFSK and DSC (GMDSS)!

    • @SDRplayHamGuides

      Yes, via Virtual Audio Cable. I never used MixW, I can't really compare them

    SDRUno's GUI is horrible as well - you guys should fix it - hire a UX designer for a month. People that struggle/feel overwhelmed with SDRUno feel that way due to the UI, not the functionality. If you fixed the UI, SDRUno would be preceived as extremely easy to use and understand.
