    I just tested this on my Sonicwake V2 on 6S (on storage voltage)using a DX6C with Smart Telemetry. I have previously calibrated the ESC at 100%.
    Free rev...
    RPM on 100% throttle...82,612
    RPM on 150% throttle ..82,527
    So if you calibrate the ESC at 100% throttle with your transmitter, anything above that doesn't matter.
    It certainly can only help to try it, can't hurt.

      @@IRONCLADRCPlease don't do that, I enjoy your content! And I certainly have learned a lot from you about RC boats. I think it just comes down to where it's calibrated is all. It certainly can make a difference and people should definitely be checking that. Thank you for your videos.

    Thanks Big-B! I also have the IXSR. I was setting it up for my BJ42 a night before a run. I am pretty sure I set the throttle at 150%. The next morning while waiting for batteries to charge I was going over settings and throttle was at 100%. Maby I did not set it like I thought I did. I will be checking mine to make sure it was my mistake and not the transmitter going back to 100%.

    Maks a world of a difference. With the better or shood, I say the more advanced TX you can do alot. Keep up with all the tricks for the newbie boaters.😅

    I've haven't tested it. Did do some googling. Everybody said it doesn't make any difference. The steps between 0-100% range changes is what they said and/or other throttle response... But what i will do is try it on a car which also has ability to read it's max.rpm...
    A other throttle response could mean higher speeds since you guys "stabilize" the voltage first running at half throttle before pulling full throttle. Cant promise i will test it today, but will give it a try for sure. I has my attention and want to find out for myself now 😁

    Calibrating the esc to throttle at 100% “should” make 100% actually 100% and anything higher ignored. How did you calibrate it? 100 or 150%. I’m just curious if you found more of a bug…

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Pretty simple to understand 150% is the maximum throttle limit! Same for the dx5 rugged.
      Stock parameter was 100, I increased throttle to 150 (max) Picked up 8-10mph on my old dx5 Rugged. Simple but often overlooked

    • @kmatch1
      @kmatch1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ But do you calibrare the esc at 100 or 150 or run it out of the box?

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      INCREASE throttle to 150 Ez

    • @kmatch1
      @kmatch1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IRONCLADRC Without calibrating the esc you never know if even 150 hits the max. Calibrate that mofo!

      @kmatch1 i have data logs from my xlx2 that state I get 100% throttle at 150% rate. Before increasing, i would only get 96/97% throttle

  • @marcandreasson87

    Percentage is out of 100 and 100 only. I think any manufacturer that lists a device being able to go above 100 percent is misleading their consumers.
    Sure, I accept that they use the incorrect measuring system ( imo ) and there might be a performance gain above 100 percent. I feel it would be better if they displayed it something like - Minimum to Maximum. Max being 150 percent. If 100 percent throttle is 60,000 rpm then 150 percent should be 90,000 rpm. I think 🙃 my 2c only. I am no means mathematically gifted but if I were to see a slider whereby it can go from 100 percent to 150 percent I would expect a 50 percent increase. I know I'm missing something here though.

    • @IRONCLADRC
      @IRONCLADRC  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They probably measure it 0-150 opposed to 0-100 no actual performance gain just 150 being it's max throttle. Easy to understand, not complicated just different..

    • @marcandreasson87
      @marcandreasson87 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@IRONCLADRC yes, just different. I get what you’re saying. I read a few other posts and they spoke about programming the esc to 100% which would equate to max throttle ( 150%). Just odd how the manufacturer displays full clip on their device. ✌️🤙. Love your new windshield on the Animal 🖐️

    I really wish that I could understand why people get in these comment sections of your videos and question your intelligence. For anyone reading this that might have a doubt, please. Understand that this man has personally helped to guide me through moments where I did not understand what I was doing in the beginning part of this hobby without his guidance. I would probably be still on the side of a lake Somewhere screaming and cussing. Because I couldn't figure out what was going on. If you do not know what you are talking about, stop questioning someone who has been doing this longer than most of you have had a Driver's license.
