As a Bos'n Mate who was on a ammo ship this is pretty awesome! We Unreppred ton's of 5" 54 and a lot of sodas for the fleet we also transferred a lot of missiles and that was time consuming and complex! Go Navy!

agreed reloading VLS at sea is a game changer. instead of having a few large ships with many costly missiles and VLS, you can have larger number of hulls with less missiles and crew.
better to spread it out vs all eggs in one basket. furthermore having more hulls means being able to be in more places accomplishing more missions.

They just need the same or similar stabilization system used on main battle tank gun barrels. A tank can be traveling over rough terrain at 40 mph and still shoot on the run.

Only took 40 years for the Navy to fix the problem.

No offense, but the only real answer in the short term Arsenal ships. Ships will h 250-400 launch cells. Remembering that each cell can carry up to four defence missiles each. along with extensive point defense, or possibly importing the British Navy, laser defence system.

I've seen a few videos on them. I think they have their benefits but also they have some drawbacks. It's a bit hard for me to get into but videos and their commenters can give a bit more insight on various options.
I do know South Korea does plan to utilize them. A bit smaller that 200-400 missiles but they have plans.

Please consider this food for thought......once a cruser/destroyer fires all their offencive & defensive missiles they are pretty much sitting ducks!!! I think its time to have a fleet of space x falcon 9 heavy rockets to deliver heavy reloads at sea & for that matter any where in the world ....all that required is a carousel unit & parachute system & hover 500ft off the ocean or land where the need may be. Reloading U.S. military forces any where on this planet...no more long waiting times before fully loaded & empty munitions!!! Like a fighter in the ring ....you must keep on punching !!! No more vulnerable resupply ships at sea , only supply depots/factory's to deliveries any where in the world in 90mins or less!!! Space x reusable rock system!!! Let's speed everything up alot more so our adversaries will have many sleepless nights having to worry about our next move on this chess board!!! God bless America!!!

Why not try this on our destroyers which qre going to be around while cruisers will disappear in the next few years as cruisers days are numbered!

The ship used is less important than the fact that they are using identical equipment. The ship only needed to be available. As the equipment is identical, the knowledge and techniques are identical and will transfer to other ships regardless of class. The knowledge can also be transferred to other nations using the same equipment.

Additionally, bases like Hawaii and Guam to be equipped with nuclear reactors to power laser defence systems that Britain is already pioneer combined with American massive point defence, short of multiple nuclear strikes. These bases will be fine.
