    You do such a good job of demoing each pedal. I've bought 3 donner pedals because of your Vids .. thank U

    Cheers Shane for the good demo. I've been looking for a slim delay pedal that doesn't only have digital or vintage tone, and this Donner jobby fits the bill. I had just lined one up on the Donner site, but watched you using it before pulling the trigger! It's now on it's way.
    PS: you nailed "Little Wing" nicely... Looking forward to more reviews.

    The lofi mode is definately bitcrushing, thats why you hear a brightness in the delayed signal. Bit reduction is a great effect, nice and unique in a low cost delay pedal!

    It's amazing how small, cheap and decent sounding pedals have become. I can remember building a delay/flanger/chorus pedal in the mid 80's that cost way more than these and was way larger too! Why anyone would attempt to build effects now when you can get one like this for $40 is beyond me. I suppose the next hoarding situation will be effects pedals!

    I own both this and the harmonic square, and I must say, they are amazing!!! I will def be buying more from donner in the future

    I’m in the market for a good delay pedal and I’ve been leaning towards the MRX Exhoplex. I might have to give this a try. Thanks again Shane! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤙🏾🎸

    Another great review! Love Donner pedals for their value (and small size)! The NUX Time Core you reviewed a while back is also a great delay for the $$ with the added bonuses of stereo in/out and a 40 sec looper.

    Shane.......sir.....would you please do a video and explain how you could and/or should run your pedals into your “reissue”. Apologies up front but I am having a bit of trouble with it ....( a lot )
    The only thing I’ve done is run my guitar into a few pedals and then in to the input #1.
    I thank you up front and especially for demonstrating the donner pedals !!!!

    • @DMSProduktions

      Comps, filters and drives into the front, time & mods into effect loop!

    • @MattyK-USA

      Eh, heck with that, run 'em all through the front... then again, I have a Princeton and have no choice :)

    • @hutchfromba
      @hutchfromba 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      DMSProduktions I agree but I'm not sure which ones are first to last going into the FX. I have a chorus, reverb, delay & echo.

    • @DMSProduktions
      @DMSProduktions 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ok Hutch, modulation goes 1st, then add echo/delay, then reverb comes last to leave the tails over the original notes and echoes.
      Any OD goes in the front.

    Why didn't you run delays, univibes, chorus, phaser equalizer through the EFFECTS LOOP instead says fuzz over drives go input slamming front end for years. Marshall Possibly Some added effects loops while we slammed and compressed our signal. Who Knew? Us Electricians Learned by trial and Success!!

    For the money it's decent. Although, I find delay wise they all sound similar with just some colouration on.

  • @bradders56
    @bradders56 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sounds good, but why don't more delay pedals have dotted notes? Have TC electronic patented this? O.k you can do it with two delay pedals but why bother just buy a Flashback delay! Incidentally I've just been trying a BOO tremolo pedal in unison with my Fender Twin Reverb 'vibro' channel. Very interesting!

  • @konjunto2477
    @konjunto2477 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have a pedal I got off wish that has similar guts with 9 effects but in a standard pedal size but probably half the thickness of a typical pedal. The pedal is called the Echolation by COOLMUSIC. And I just recieved a used Ibanez TS9 an older one in great condition. I have a feeling that paired with my Peavy Classic 100 2x12 it aould be pretty cool.

    I'm quite newbie, is the analog function actually analog or just a digital imitation of analog effect?

    • @davidkastin4240
      @davidkastin4240 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a digital pedal, the analog is not true analog but is very good.

    It seems to have some usable selections, I like the sound of the reverse setting. How does it compare to a more expensive delay as far as tone goes? Yeah I know, that's subjective but I have a couple of the cheaper delays and I just don't get that inspired by them. Cheers Shane.

    is there any difference between this in analog mode and the donner yellow fall vintage delay ???

    • @cavemanzach9475
      @cavemanzach9475 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The yellow fallout sucked. If you have the feedback on too high it will literally echo itself and get louder and louder and louder until it's unbearable. I wanted something similar to the boss dd-1 and the yellow fall is not it.

    • @sparkyguitar0058
      @sparkyguitar0058 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cavemanzach9475 the Yellow fallout is more like MXR Carbon Copy. This is more like Boss DD's, I got both a C C and a DD-5. Just got this real cheap and go on a give it a try.

    Please run the delay reviews through the fx loop.The od pedal sounds muddy into the delay. I'm sure you have an amp with an fx loop. I've been playing for forty years and we all know they belong in the fx loop. I love your channel but I haven't found a good delay review yet tonight

      Donners are mostly mini pedals. And minis don't have battery room. I just put this on my board replacing a DD-5. Space; real estate. And great reverse my fav delay. Also have Carbon Copy on board.

  • @leonthompson8988
    @leonthompson8988 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Your intro sounded like you put the delay in a loop on your board. As usual a distortion into a delay then into the amp makes for an unpleasant sound. The delay always sounds like its distorting. If your reissue doesn't have an fx loop buy one from mojotone and pay a tech to install it between the phase inverter and the output section.

    Incomplete review, in my opinion. I would have like to hear what the extreme settings would have sounded like. Instead, we just hear what we always hear within the confines of the 'norm' in delays.

    • @intheblues
      @intheblues  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Incomplete attitude. I would have much rather you used the "search" tool to find another review that suits you more.

    • @atmobilemail
      @atmobilemail 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When we look for reviews of a product, it's to find out what the possibilities are, not necessarily to hear what we want to hear. That is like meeting people who only agree with what you have to say. Maybe the Donner does 'suit my needs', but I can't be certain if a review is not comprehensive. It would have taken only a minute or two more.

    How do u do a delay review vid ¬ list max delay time. It's like selling a bucket or gas tank and not listing capacity.
    Ah ok it's 838 milliseconds. Great. Tereific.
