I watched several other descaling videos but none mentioned leaving it to soak for 30 minutes. Good point. My first Keurig K cup Duo with carafe died after using 100% vinegar but I hadn’t cleaned it for a year though I used filtered water. Keurig shipped me a new K cup Duo free of charge so now I’m paying attention lol.

@@TechMadeEzy I’ve never heard of rinsing 12 times but I’m doing it at your suggestion. I’m worried about using my hard water that many times. I have a Keurig K cup Duo with carafe. Would that change the amount of times to rinse? I usually just rinse the carafe 3x, 2 with hard water and last one with filtered water. Does that sound reasonable?

If you want all the potential residue out I'd rince it at least 10 times

@@TechMadeEzy how many rinses would you do with the carafe? It’s a 12 cup I’m using.

Thank You so much for your help! I am pretty new with this. I purchased a Keurig K Elite. My question to you dear sir is I rcd water filters in my starter kit, and just found out you need a cartridge to put it in the reservoir. Do you feel it’s necessary to buy one if using filtered bottle water (Smart Water 9+ph?). If so, do you have a video on how and where to purchase this cartridge? Would it be a long handle cartridge?
Thank you again for taking the time to explain to all of us on what and how to take care of our Keurigs. 🙏❤😊

      Thank you Cheryl
I don't bother because I use filtered water myself. So you shouldn't need to.
