I'm trying to bring Dan Vs back.
As early as August, plans were being drawn up between me and Christopher Pearson, the co-creator of the show, for a scheme to get the show revived. Now with phase 1 of the scheme complete, it's time for PHASE TWO.

What makes Dan Vs such a great show is it's a cathartic outlier for what most people feel and think and it's relieving to see Dan do what he does in a fictional world rather than doing it irl

It's because Chris rarely gets mad. So it's a special occasion when it does happen.
Chris rarely gets mad, it's a general aw fuq moment when calm people lose their shit. Take it from a calm person who made a violent angry person literally piss themselves when I got mad at them for one of the most mundane things.

Every now & then you’ll get one of those pieces of work that is so well made but isn’t fully recognized due to being targeted to the wrong audience, Dan Vs is definitely one of those things.
What audience would you say it's targeted at?
I think it exists in a weird limbo between PG and PG-13. It's worth noting that the Russian dub uses much stronger language and is rated 12+.
I think you're right in the sense that its target audience is so hard to pin down.

The creators are currently trying to shop the show around for a new season, with the promise of it being a harder PG-13 feel

After Chris told Dan to shut up and called him a angry little troll I was waiting for Dan to reply with something angry instead of telling Chris that what he just said hurt his feelings plus Dan learned not to ask Chris to make him hot cocoa in the middle of the night then leave before it's ready

@@justasalamander2621 It was proposed to Adult Swim but they turned it down so they made it more child friendly to make it air on The Hub Network which honestly added to the show’s charm.

I like how Chris *does* have a line. He’ll listen to Dan griping Winge about things he’s had personal experiences with that are negative but the second Dan starts venting about society at large. He tells him to shut up because it’s not worth it. He’ll let Dan wake him up in the middle of night and have them do all these tasks but the second he does both of these things and doesn’t even let him finish the task. He gets pissed.
I'm so glad people are actually starting to notice this show for what it is and not just to compare it to my little pony

I like that Chris will stand up for himself.
Dan barging in in the middle of the night? He can deal. Dan waking him up and demanding something from him? He’s kind, he’ll gladly do it. But Dan leaving before Chris can finish that coco is a level of disrespect he won’t tolerate, as he shouldn’t.
Off the top of my head, there are only four instances where Dan straight up loses. The first being against Traffic. Then he lost to the monster under his bed. And I forgot the order for these two, but he also lost his battle against parenting and weddings as well, with Dan even being made to learn a lesson by the end of the latter two episodes. I suppose you could also include the Telemarketer as he wound up going to prison, but since he was at least happy that he no longer had to listen to Imposter Dan in his ear ever again, he sort of took it as a win in his book.
Chris can be terrifying somrtimes.
remember when dan almost started world war 3, just so he could kill a family of squirells that pissed him off.. and ALMOST succeeded in doing it? i swear if this ever had a good reboot one of the episodes should be dan vs shadowy governments, where littearly most shadowy governments/clans want to kidnap dan after seeing EVERYTHING he has actually managed to do (especially after almost causing world war 3)
