      Mike I have a question that I would appreciate being answered just out of pure curiosity. There are these groups of people(adults) going around online pretending to be young children to lure child predators out and expose them online, to the police, etc. Then they meet up with these grown adults (child predators), call the police and tell them what was being said between the 2 parties. Is this considered legal? Isn't this technically considered entrapment? Can legal charges result from this for the child predators? Its kind of a knock off Chris Hansen deal but the police aren't involved in the luring out process and I was just curious what happens once the police get involved and from a legal standpoint. I know this maybe a tall order for you but I want to know what happens next....much appreciated.

    I am a 16 year old boy who is in foster care. The CPS office in my home town was bought over by another company named St. Francis Ministries. This company has no interest in actually helping children though. They only wanted a paycheck, and they would do anything and everything to get it. Well, once it was me and my siblings turn to be screwed over by them by removing us from our placement of over a year with false allegations of abuse, we were put into an emergency children's home. Over the course of the month, I battled St. Francis in court and won. I was returned home, and my siblings did not. They are a short distance from me, and I can still see them. However, St. Francis has learned not to screw over a kid that will fight to the bitter end if you put a knife in his back.

      @Mother Cheese the problem was, he was hearing my disability appeal. At the time I felt like not antagonizing him was probably the prudent course.
      But, he denied my appeal, using reasons that stretched the bounds of common sense. So in hindsight, I had nothing to gain by being polite.
      Funny postscript. well funny to me at least. After I got the denial I wrote him a letter. See, it wasn't the pittance of a monthly check I wanted. I needed the health insurance because without some specialists to curtail my condition, I was fucked. The idea of only having a short time when you're 90 is one thing, when you're 30 it's quite another. I had the good sense, or a moment of clarity, not to send it and after my next appeal, and 5 years total, I finally got it approved.
      The letter started "Dear Cock sucker..."
      It went downhill from there. Rapidly.

      A woman who loved me, a lawyer with balls, a judge with a brain, and a neurosurgeon with a semi- experimental surgery. I'm now older than i likely would have been had i just given up after that "judge" denied my claim. It's not an ideal life, but it's better than it was and way better than it was going to be.
      Overall, while i could complain, i try not to. Because that is a quick way to talk yourself into feeling worse. Take your wins where you find them, even if you've gotta search a bit.

      Having been a juror this sounds accurate to me, like, you WILL lose because the jury will care, but it sounds like grounds to get the conviction thrown out or appealed or whatever, since the judge tells you you absolutely cannot consider anything not in evidence, such as something you saw on the news, something you googled, etc.

    It’s kinda like, “I’m sorry Sir, I was listening but just to triple check what you said, can repeat that one more time?”

    "Memorized testimony" can sometimes be useful at a bench trial, if for no other reason than to remind the judge what the law actually says. I definitely got out of a ticket by telling the judge that the cop's dashcam footage clearly shows that I was driving "at a reasonable and prudent speed given the conditions," and that I only sped up or slowed down "as necessary to avoid colliding with other vehicles." He agreed, wondered out loud why the cop would single ME out to pull over, and dismissed the citation.

      You can make an *_Objection_* over the *_relevance._* Any objection that you make will preserve the issue for Appeal. However, there still might be _SOME_ issues that you can have an Appellate Court review w/o an objection at trial: That would be (1) incompetent council and (2) jurisdiction (which can be challenged at any time).

    • @nikolaikalashnikov4253
      @nikolaikalashnikov4253 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll also probably have to make an *_Objection: Assumes Facts Not in Evidence:_* as you definitely don't want to let the prosecution get away with that one !!! And finally, if you're being railroaded in a *_Kangaroo Court_* then in some jurisdictions, you have to verbally state your intention to Appeal !!! But honestly, these bozos are so predictable that you should have to your Appeal(s) prepared before you even get to trial !!! ...That way you're making sure that you're in compliance with local rules.
