You know I've come to realize that in the Warhammer lore you don't hear a lot of epic tales of legendarily warriors trying to stand in particular spots longer than the enemy.
Truth is, that's what much of war really is. "Who does this place and everything in it belong to? The guys whom kill everyone else that think it belongs to them." WWI literally WAS men fighting back and forth over patches of earth. It's basic territoriality, and much of nature repeats the same story over and over again all the way down to the microscopic. Your immune system thinks your body is its turf, and viruses and bacteria want to take (and "eat") it for themselves.
@MiniatureGameMontage , Where did you get the STL's for your Plague Disciples? Im looking at starting a Havoc Brothers army and cant really find anyplace that sells the STL's Im looking for? Would I have to WYSIWYG it?
Thanks! This particular table had a lot of different terrain. The desert/sand elements were from gamemat.eu. The rest was 3d printed from thingiverse files such as the containers. The fence was 3d printed from saucermen studios. 🙂
Just stumbled upon this BR after being a fan of PlayOn Tabletop and 40K Lore, but being fed up with GW antics and prices. With OPR and GF, do you find it’s a better outcome to make a list that combines Battle Brothers and Prime Brothers, or to grab a community book that revamps the Battle Brothers into a single group?
@@kblackbeard6 I’ll admit that I’m not a list expert for any game. I would recommend joining their discord group. It’s very active with things just like this. If I knew I’d share! 👍
@@MiniatureGameMontage Wicked fast response for it being on an older video, thanks! I appreciate the candor, and I’ll post on their discord to see if I can get some guidance. Great Battle Report though, and it also gave me a ton of confidence that OPR can replace 40K and still feel like a tactically fulfilling game! I heard a ton of naysayers complain about how OPR felt hollow, that it didn’t have the depth of 40K, and that all the armies felt the same. Seems like the advanced mission rules, command point system, etc can help to really make the play crunchier.
@@kblackbeard6 no it’s totally a “bolt on” game. The core mechanics are easy but you can really bolt on a lot to give it a a lot of variability and depth. And I’m like the eye of Sauron! 🤣
@@MiniatureGameMontage Oh, totally. I can see myself introducing OPR to friends who are new to Wargaming in its most basic form, and then introducing things to deepen the experience when the basics are settled in. Even certain aspects like toeing in, passing turns strategically, or adjusting certain things like “locked in combat” vs backing off an inch per rules as written. OPR seems like its simplicity is actually a feature not a bug for adjusting things, because you’re less likely to break the game by making a tweak to something that you may not love about the rules.
Loved this battle report! I'm a huge fan of Deathwing Terminators, they're some of my favorite models. Do you have any tips or resources on how to make videos like yours? I'm looking to make OPR content in Spanish and your content is of outstanding quality, I'd love to make some content similar to yours.
Thanks! All you need is a phone with a decent camera. I used to do recording and audio on just my phone. I used iMovie to do all the editing. Now I use Davinci Resolve which is a free editing program. It can be done on a very low budget.
10:20 - there's no "staying locked in combat". If at the end of combat both units are still there, the one that charged should back off 1". [ok, you actually did it...]
Beware at the beginning, Deadly 3 means 3 wounds, so you only roll one save against a lascannon, but suffer 3 damage if you fail.
oh snap! Thanks for that. I knew we wouldn't be perfect.

You see it in the artwork though :P
‘I will build a castle of your bodies if I need to, this tactically useless hill is MINE!’
@@toastle8005i don’t as about to reply similar. That’s pretty much the entirety of the early artwork

Great match! Love Grimdark Future and OPR. Also, those Plague brothers paint looks gorgeous 👍
Thanks!
Good game and a pleasure to watch.
Also, lol at the tank at 11:34, who was in such a hurry to ride those prime bros over he lost a gun :D
Haha, I know. I need to just glue them on and play them as whatever 😂
HELL YEAH!! Love watching your Grimedark videos.
Those Death Guards/Plague Disciples look great 👌🏻
Thank you! 🙂
Such a lovely production. Very enjoyable to watch.
Such a good batrep, a pure delight to watch! 😃
Cheers!
Big envy dad dude just rolling dice with his family 😊
👍 Can’t tell you what it means to me
Wow, that's a great looking battle, such beautiful terrain!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful!
Imagine being the tank driver and your gun falls off during a charge

You can use whatever you want. The models I used are all GW I believe.
Great video! Where do you get the objective marker templates from?
Just search on Etsy for 40K objective makers. You’ll find a ton from different sellers. Thanks so much!
Awesome batrep! What battlemat is that? Looks 👍
Thank you. This one is from gamemat.eu. Excellent quality stuff!
Where do you get a set of those beautiful blue and orange d6?
They are Chessex dice. I got mine on eBay!
I enjoyed this batrep very much. I'd love to see more OPR.
Thanks! If I could paint more I would knock them out much more frequently. 🙂

Yeah just narration 😂 In my mind they stay locked in combat

Those 2-tone D6s are busted.
😂 sometimes they go one way and other times another
I am amazed the DB destroyers were balanced. Every time I’ve played they seem completely underwhelming. 400-500 point for 9 3+ Wounds is nothing
