Only recently started watching as I decided to try Disc initially this season. Dusted my mistwever off recently and have been thankful for your content. Great guides and tips. Cheers, and keep it up!
Dude I absolutely love your vids. I'm new to MW and I can't tell you how much you've helped me understand stuff. You explain it really well for people who are new to the job. Plus you're hella cute. Keep up the good work!
Gotta say, you've been the biggest help in my WOW playing experience. I just started playing WOW and I don't think i would of kept playing if hadn't run into your videos. So thank you for making these
Running this build from this season start. Provides more tier set uptime, reneving mist uptime still good, enveloping mist slapping 2nd place healing after ancient teachings.
i hate having to fix everyone's errors while keeping them alive and also having to maintain a melee dps rotation while also eating almost invisible areas. Casting from distance is mentally easier
Thank you for explaining this. I just came back to wow and when i read about the "melee " healing style i was really exited. But Mistweaver have alot of new spells and synergies. Now i can learn to play it balanced because of you :)
I normally main Mistweaver, but decided early on to play Windwalker this season. The more I hear about Mistweaver, the more I want to swap back. This video was the push I needed to finally swap back to healing :D Keep up the good work with all the Healing Content! :D
I used "this" build back in the end of S2 in situations/places where you just wouldn't be allowed to make use of Rising Mist enough to justify picking it, it worked great and i bet that it does even better now days especially because of the tier set. (hence the "this"above, meaning without thunderous focus because that kind of combo wasn't available at the time) This might be the build to go again in some places and i've already got one in mind :3 Edit: This is the reason i wanted AT to be baseline or just last longer, to avoid having to build this.
Hey Lbn, MW is my main since 10.0 and it will be a long time. Thank you for the contet. For a while I choose Focus Thunder because in PUGs it is more helpfull than Secret infusion. I think I will try the Tear because there a some situations you can´t be in mellee. Please note that Cocoon also apply one enveloping mist and renewing mist (Mists of life). I will test it. And thank you so much for the TEAR Raid guide. It is also very helpfull.
Thank you! I feel like i have been playing this exact playstyle without the right talents for it. This is perfect:D Only thing i changed is jade bond as currently got enough buttons to survive 2-3mins but it might change.
It could, but in a raid setting you might be trimming potential off of your top end. I would at least recommend swapping to yulon if you want to take this to raids!
On pulls I like to drops 2 rm,faeline into 2 tiger palms then rsk, bok , rsk. I find that this alows the damage to come in a little then big healing to counter it rather than a lot of overheating by just going straight into rsk
oh my god this is so obvious why didnt i see it? i have been searching for a build that has the best of both worlds i wanna have that raw tear healing but still have the talents that make your damage rotation way more fun. sweeet thanks for another great suggestion. just did a 25 fall and we double pulled drakes twice and it wasnt an issue after chi was down. before it was misery after chi dropped and the drakes dragged on
Great video as always! Thank you for sharing and being amazing :) Trying to learn MW monk a little bit! Do you always make sure you toss out an enveloping mist before using zen pulse?
Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy your mistweaver monk guides. I generally like chi-ji builds more than others. It fits to my playstyle better. My question is tho, what talents do you think about dropping/adding talents for chi-ji oriented builds for raids?
Interesting. Yeah, I'm one of the rerollers that kinda just does what elle does. I'm an hpal main, but I've played that class long enough to do my own thing there. I don't do what he does on paly. I prefer to be more defensive and less mana efficient for bigger heals. This might be right up my alley. Those two envelopings every 30 seconds is big.
Totally gonna try this in Everbloom, that 2nd and 3rd boss are nuts on higher tyrannical. One quick question about the text of tear of morning, when it says "your vivify healing through renewing mist is increased by 20%" does that mean when casting vivify on someone with renewing mist, or the cleave healing through invigorating mists?
I hate melee heal as monk, I always casting all the time but this build is so nice to me I can help more to dps and still heal like I want, I just miss my status 😢
It's for the control over the spells you can have. Knowing what two spells you have in an instant allow you to rapid fire off two enveloping mists in an instant, whereas with tea you could get unlucky and it could boost something like rem+viv+viv and you just basically don't get value from that
IF you have the ability to get off RSK on cooldown, I think it's still more optimal in 5m groups to try and hit targets with ReM already for the Tear of Morning + TFT (focused thunder) combo: 2x ReM > RSK >TFT > 2x EM > Spam Vivify > 2x ReM - casting ReM directly puts out 2x Chi Harmony to set up for more throughput during your combo > RSK - adds another ReM to the group to pad our odds of more ReM's being out for TFT combo > TFT - if you only have 1 ReM charge, you can replace one of the 2x ReM's with an RSK > 2x EM - everyone should have at least a ReM or Chi Harmony on them at this point, ideally there is 1-2 who have both; these are the prio targets as casting an EM on them will potentially both spread ReM and add to total Chi Harmony (if none have both, focus on who has Chi Harmony) > Spam Vivify - this is where we capitalize; ideally on targets with ReM + Chi Harmony to further cleave heals and fish for Tear of Morning procs The goal here is the maximize the # of ReM's active (for the increased Vivify + EM cleave healing from Tear of Morning) while simultaneously padding your Chi Harmony. Since ReM only jumps to injured allies after the initial target (whether proc'd from a talent or directly casted), if we cast EM on targets without ReM, we are increasing the chances that ReM won't spread from its initial target, and therefor lowering the potential throughput of our strongest combo: Invigorating Mists. Maximizing Chi Harmony like this gives us the ability to focus more on getting as many ReM's out as possible for the Vivify spam, and less on spot healing during the combo, as we will have more overall ReM + Chi Harmony + AoE healing going out :)
Ancient Teachings/Awakened Feiline is not "traditional". Mistweaver has always supported both playstyles to varying degrees, but has always been biased towards the caster playstyle. I've played both playstyles extensively since MoP and whilst I can appreciate the current power of the melee playstyle, it gets boring fast as it's too easy and rarely requires using targeted spells. The current melee playstyle plays like a DPS primarily; with so much passive smart healing you can just spam your damage buttons and keep the group alive. I enjoy the traditional playstyle that involves statue, soothing mist and lots of green beams and spray everywhere, especially with Yu'lon, unfortunately it does crap all damage.
It's just hard swerving terms without getting flak tbh. I call it fistweaver, people hate on me because "technically" the caster build weaves in melee hits. So I was saying the "traditional ancient teachings build" as a term, not calling it the "traditional" mistweaver playstyle
So basically I'm not saying g traditional meaning what was play back in mop, but moreso what was traditionally the "fistweaver" or ancient teachings build
People who usually play melee mistweaver just like the action lol. Caster is boring but its imo more powerful cuz youre Basically a heal bot the only problem is mana
Caster is more of a hybrid build. It's a deviation from the rising mist build. I have a guide on the standard build and also some on some different builds that don't run faeline and ancient teachings
Hey man, fell in love with this class when it came out in MoP and have only played it since. I'm just getting back into DF so this video was super helpful. 🫡
I really suck at fistweaver and also i hate that play style, so i have always been ranged mw since legion. Im really good at it, so i wished the caster build got abit more love 🫡
well the caster build does heal a lot more in a more controlled way. i play a lot of pug keys as caster when i feel that its gonna stop a couple of deaths. its usually way more worth it to keep a dps alive vs 20k dps. obviously not taking about coordinated groups where fistweaver is king cause you need every little bit of dps
Only recently started watching as I decided to try Disc initially this season. Dusted my mistwever off recently and have been thankful for your content. Great guides and tips. Cheers, and keep it up!
That is amazing! If all I accomplish with this channel is encouraging one person to try mistweaver, then I've done my job!

Hey man. I recently leveled my MW and your guides have been so helpful!! Thank you for all the hard work you put into these.
I'm so glad to hear that! Also glad to see another person give MW a shot!

Running this build from this season start. Provides more tier set uptime, reneving mist uptime still good, enveloping mist slapping 2nd place healing after ancient teachings.
Revival and Seedling is enough to take care of high Bursting stacks. But the best thing to have for burtsing is dps that are not mentally impaired.
Oh for sure, but it doesnt hurt to have another tool on your belt!
Melee MW is so fun and potent this season, I don't even want to try anything else tbh.
It is so good.
i hate having to fix everyone's errors while keeping them alive and also having to maintain a melee dps rotation while also eating almost invisible areas. Casting from distance is mentally easier
I stand in melee with this build just as much as I did when I had rising mist tbh! But if it ain't broke don't fix it!
You’re better than I am. I always either forget to do damage, or heal, in the midst of dodging everything. 🤣
Thank you for explaining this. I just came back to wow and when i read about the "melee " healing style i was really exited. But Mistweaver have alot of new spells and synergies. Now i can learn to play it balanced because of you :)

hii LBNinja, wondering if this can also be used on smaller pug raid setting, like 2-3-8 etc, like 12-14 men heroic raid,
It could, but in a raid setting you might be trimming potential off of your top end. I would at least recommend swapping to yulon if you want to take this to raids!

Do you have a 10.2.5 ancient teachings raid guide? I love melee but it's impossible to find a guide on raiding with it
th-cam.com/video/P5skARo5Ahk/w-d-xo.html
The title says 10.2 but honestly not much has changed!
I try both and seriously, caster mistweaver is very good in M+.
Awesome video like always! ♥
Consider me influenced. This seems much closer to what my class fantasy was for MW.
Do you use a macro for Sholins gift? Loving the content so far thank you! It helps me keep up with the other healers.
No Maccro! Just have it clique bound so it targets who i hover over when I press it
Thanks fro responding, have a great day! @@LBNinja7
Real question is why you would. Current SJK and Fae Line is one of the most fun classes in wow.
A lot of people don't like the playstyle or are afraid of getting their feet wet in melee! This is literally a build to dip their toes in!

Tear of morning gang rise up! I always use it in Everbloom because of the Council and Mage fight forces you to be out of melee range

to get good fistweaver loot is it better to look for windwalker gear or mistweaver gear ?
Definitely mistweaver so you get trinkets and weapons

I plan on making a fully pacifist playstyle guide since I know some people just flat out prefer to play like that!
@@LBNinja7 can’t wait !!!
Maaaan about time. I have honestly been struggling with mw this tier. Not clicked with me at all.
Me too, mained since WoD but dropped it this season after the buffs to it's melee healing kit. It's not my least played healer!
Why take Focused Thunder over Tea of Plenty/Serenity? It's 3 empowered spells over 2.
It's for the control over the spells you can have. Knowing what two spells you have in an instant allow you to rapid fire off two enveloping mists in an instant, whereas with tea you could get unlucky and it could boost something like rem+viv+viv and you just basically don't get value from that
IF you have the ability to get off RSK on cooldown, I think it's still more optimal in 5m groups to try and hit targets with ReM already for the Tear of Morning + TFT (focused thunder) combo:
2x ReM > RSK >TFT > 2x EM > Spam Vivify
> 2x ReM - casting ReM directly puts out 2x Chi Harmony to set up for more throughput during your combo
> RSK - adds another ReM to the group to pad our odds of more ReM's being out for TFT combo

Does tear of morning work with Soothing mist?
There are no interactions between Tear of Morning and Soothing Mist.

Having grown up in the state that I did, I'm surprised this is how long it took for me to hear that a word that I said was made up
