I bought a Lottie bag in januari 2023. Mine is in Black Embossed Flower and I bought this on sale. And now it's is definately my most used bag. I never guessed it would be. But it is just an easy to grap bag and it fits all my essentials. I also love your Lottie bag. It is beautiful.

Hi, I bought with Aspinal directly, they are based in the UK. Shipping was free and Aspinal pays for duties. The duties part goes wrong sometimes if they don't fill in the paperwork correctly, so just make sure you don't pay the duties too, and reach out to Aspinal if something goes wrong. Customer service has been responsive and helpful.
For Americans, I wouldn’t recommend Aspinal because of duties issues. I paid nearly $1000 for this bag and never received it because UPS would not deliver it. I needed to give UPS my social security number for customs release (seriously) which I understood. It’s required by US law. But, UPS never contacted me for the info and there’s no way to speak to a UPS broker without them contacting you first. Aspinal admitted the fault was with UPS, but wouldn’t refund me for weeks insisting that UPS would eventually call me. In the end, I had to file a dispute to get my money back. So, yeah, for people in the US, I wouldn’t purchase from Aspinal unless you’re buying it in the UK or at such time that Aspinal invests in warehouse space in the US so US customers don’t have to deal with customs duties issues.
I'm so sorry that happened to you! Thanks for sharing your experience. I've had the same happen to me with UPS, fortunately for a much smaller amount. Took me 2.5 months to figure it out with UPS, while I COULD actually call them. 😑
Glad you were able to work it out, although two months to do is shameful on the part of UPS and Aspinal. I really think Aspinal could do better on the duties issue. Other brands ship high value items internationally, without such problems. It makes me think Aspinal is using the cheapest means to ship and provide international service which is more than an inconvenience to their customers.
Yes agree, it shouldn't be such a challenge for them to ship to larger countries or the EU. For the Netherlands they literally only need to add a Letter of Acceptance for the duties, it's not that hard. And UPS is really bad too, with DHL I had the same, they solved it with Aspinal in a single day.
