Genuine question and feel free to answer or whatever. If the pros complain about a sub on a sub dominated game why don’t they just bring in an AR that can compete. Don’t get me wrong the Krig was absolutely broken but if the sub is shotgunning like that then why not bring an AR that can compete. Bring in the model(which kinda is another krig but it doesn’t feel like a do it all) or the xm4? It’s so boring having to continuously watch a 2gun meta. And on top of that for ranked they need to keep the cypher or add one of the other guns I previously mentioned cause last year we had the Holger that could 3 bullet with 2headshots but we still mainly saw mcw like cmon now
SMG's are gonna dominate every cod, a close range weapon in a game thats as aggressive as cod, yea its gonna be crazy. AR's complaining about SMG's is like a QB complaining about INT's when hes throwing the ball right to them. an ar will lose a close to mid range fight to an smg 90% of the time.

We saw all of MW2 where they kept losing events due to braindead plays against pro teams that are too good for that bs, 2 teammates making those plays is too inconsistent. They might even win an event but they'll go right back to placing top 12 again, not acceptable for OpTic's standards

I completely agree with you. The issue in esports is that coaches aren't experienced in the same way as traditional sports coaches. They are in-game experts, but often don't have the same leadership skills, communication skills, people management skills etc. that even youth coaches in traditional sports have. My job is to uplevel these coaches in these other aspects of coaching and leadership. Team culture is also undervalued and not understood in esports currently and thus there is a lack of psychological safety in most of these team environments. This leads to a lack of trust and a disconnnect in game. Once these coaches are further developed, the role of a performance coach will and should disappear.
