One of my favorite support moments in ttrpgs was using Sunzi and forcing a sniper boss to teleport right next to my big DPS teammate who was a stocked up Raleigh.
Support thoughts: Never underestimate the Lancaster’s Mule Harness, a system that lets other mechs ride it and get to use its 6 movement. This system can be put on any machine in the game (though it favors the larger frames) to turn any mech into a battle bus for the whole team to zip across the battlefield on. Some of the expanded content for Lancer involves talents like Field Analyst, which lets you “slightly” adjust dice rolls, turning near misses into hits and 19s into critical hits. There’s also Orator, a very powerful talent that rewards you for not taking aggressive actions by giving you the ability to stun an enemy for one turn while they think about their life choices.
Gotta say, I love me some niche topic like lancer and then find multiple hours of content giving a deep dive into it. Makes the jump into any new genre of ttrpg much more manageable. Honestly, thanks a ton!
Good video. I play Lancer, currently LL3 Swallowtail. I was surprised you didn't mention Athena, which provides enemy info and can reveal invisible enemies and provide lock-on in blast 3 area. Also, the LB/OC Cloaking Field makes the Swallowtail and any allies within 2 spaces invisible. I'm looking forward to more of your content in the future.
Very informative! I'm new to Lancer and I made a really fun support build. Played my first game a couple days ago and did pretty well after trying to cram all the rules in my head. Let me know what you think! Frame: Chomolungma Talents: Centimane, Gunslinger, Sysop Equipment: Main Nexus, Light Nexus/Light Nexus, Pistol, Smoke Grenades Playstyle: Either slow/impair with Fragment Signal when out of firing range, trip them with Balance Control Lockout for team accuracy when within firing range, or System crusher them to/beyond their heat cap for the exposed condition and/or burn damage. Centimane makes them impaired/slowed on a crit with Nexus. It's pretty reliable to crit with the accuracy gained from a prone target, Gunslinger, and two attacks with light Nexus. Sysop provides a bolster that lasts until used rather than ending when the targets finish their turn. The smoke grenades are just in case you or your teammates are caught without cover. If you leveled up Centimane once more you can also shred on criticals!
