Yeah my car shifts just fine but as soon as I shift and start to accelerate it jerks a little? Do you think it’s the spark plugs or what?? I have a 2018 dodge charger GT AWD
You forgot to add 9) PCV blocked valve , this valve releases excess crank case pressure into the inlet hose just after the air filter in your car! 10) sticky or dirty main fuel supply line solenoid valve (this valve shuts off fuel from gas tank line to carb when you switch off engine ) 11) exhaust pipe blocked or narrowed with soot (not just cat converter like you said) 12) dirt or carbon in and around the butterfly disk in carburettor that allows air into it (13) important one: TPS or throttle pressure sensor, this sits on top of your carburettor and communicates the position of your throttle (the exactly how much you are pushing gas pedal) to the ECU , so it can decide how much acceleration you want and increases gas injection accordingly , check if its connector got loose or wire is broken or rat bitten! I'm a 60 yr mechanical engineer from India. You're welcome!
Thank you for the extra info... I have a 2018 jeep Compass with Start/STOP function. The Selonid Valve makes more sense being that the auxiliary battery had to be replaced. It's only 70,500 miles on it. However these new age vehicles are not as durable as their ForeFathers... my 1994 Mazda Mx6 stick shift started right up after sitting 4 months with snow covering it ❤❤❤
I took my car to a mechanic I mean I have my own but I felt like I needed more info so a friend of mine took me to a friend of his & right away he helped me put it into a scanner with the size of an iPad & he told me it was the transmission. I haven’t changed the transmission fluid in a bit over 2 years. He told me he will change the transmission fluid but if that doesn’t work he would have to replace the transmission itself but luckily it was just the fluid so I was pretty happy to pay $190 rather than $5,000. Try taking it to a transmission specialist but do it fast because it can get messed up real bad to the point you’re going to spend more than what you think.
I have a 2013 Honda accord. The usual issue i have is trying to start my car i believe it’s the starter where when i try and start the car when cranking i only hear one tic and doesn’t turn on. Lately its takes me a multitude of tries before it actually eventually turns on and sometimes it takes a very long time to do so. however the issue im having right now at this very moment is that my car was jerking while accelerating and not allowing me to go passed 3rd gear basically. This actually just started happening right after i drove around a random car in front of me that was impeding traffic completely to turn right and it stopped in front of me dramatically and i tried to drive around by basically hitting the gas and i suppose that i hit the gas too hard because right when that happened a major jerk started to happen and as soon as that started happening my check engine light started flashing and essentially kept jerking minorly all the way back home was barely able to hit 35mph and def couldn’t go on the fwy. What could this be? a misfire maybe? Might i also mention that two days before this my oil light when on, however i’m at 60% life with my oil supposedly and also that’s another thing is that i feel that whatever reads how much oil i have could potentially be way off because the times that i have went in to get my oil changed the guys would tell me that i have absolutely no oil when the oil reader would say i had 20% left or 15% sometimes even higher than 20%. Soooo yeah can anyone help or have any suggestions, would be much appreciated
I have 2013 lancer... i have recently changed the converter seal of my car due to oil leakage, but after that, i started feeling jerks when car is accelerate from 20km/h to 60km/h. And after crossing to 60km/h it becomes smooth again.. what is the reason for that..??
I’m having this problem where I can’t go a certain speed my RPM starts going up & down & my car jerks back & forth. Also when I accelerate my RPM goes all the way up but my car is not really going fast. Do you know what maybe the problem is?
Hi i am having the same issue every time im about to change gears the revs stay high and then once the gear changes it jerks me forth back kinda would be this the same issue ?

I went to the mechanics 5 days ago. Mechanics changed my cars engine fuel and then washed my car, and after few hours, my car stopped gaining the exact speed.. the same mechanics told me to buy catalytic converter which is for $1500 to $1700... I believe that while washing the car and changing the engine oil, they made a defect in my car intentionally...now when my car is neutral, it uses 1 gallon in almost 15 20 mins....can anyone suggest
You forgot bad gas 🤔 that could be a reason as well because my grandpa said that when I put gas from sunuco in my tank I had to go to family dollar to get octane booster and mix it in my tank my car stopped jerking
As a previous gas delivery. I can confirm that drivers mix fuel into wrong tank often. Other times dispatch tells then put remainder of 1 product into a different tank so they won't have to drive to another location. Other times there would be so much water in the under ground tanks that store owners don't want to pay to pump it out until it gets to 1k gallons.. in a 10k tank..
I have a 1999 Toyota altezza literally just spent $1100 on a new fuel pump and now my car is suddenly starting to joint and rattle when I press on the accelerator fml😂🤦♂️

OK, here is one of the secrets. Your feet on the pedals and your legs and body attached to them are subject to inertia. If you accelerate, releasing the clutch with your left foot while depressing the gas pedal with your right foot, inertia will push you back in the seat a little resulting in releasing the clutch pedal faster than intended while reducing the accelerator. At low speed this can create a feedback loop resulting in a chunky back and forth jerking feeling. To correct this, adjust your seating position and maintain a little tension in your lower leg and foot and try putting the side of your foot resting on the side of the footwell so you can feel it move. Of course a worn clutch could also be causing the problem as your "action" zone could be very small or at the extreme throw of the clutch.
Spark plugs and Coil packs for mine, replace them when needed
I definitely did and that's exactly what it was

acceleration cables....?
In most cases it’s just ignition coil and spark plug. Not gonna cost more than £100 including labour. Don’t worry.
How about tire pressure?
