Since you like this live performance because it enhances the emotions of the song beyond what a MV could portray, I think you would really like Cheetah's performance of "Coma 07" for Unpretty Rapstar. It's a show like Show Me The Money, but with only female rappers. Her song is about a time when she was hit by a bus in her youth and went into a coma. Her mother had to choose between a low-risk operation that would leave Cheetah unable to continue with music or a high-risk operation that would restore complete brain function, so the song is about Cheetah's thoughts at the time and her feelings about the choice that her mother made.
what really touched me was that last part, "I'll be stop being a coward starting tomorrow" because it is all right to be afraid. I mean, Mino is 22 and you can not just see but also feel what he's been through already. the burden he carries on his shoulders and how he's afraid to be an adult and all. "father if you're watching me tell me the answer/I'm too young and fragile to be an adult/i still don't know what to do/there are so many wounds that don't heal" these are really raw confessions and that raw feeling touched everyone. and as a person who is the same age as him, i can relate so much. it makes me cry everytime towards the end. that song came out in august and until last month, it had been in top 10 despite all the new releases. and it's still in top 50. i'm so glad you reacted, thank you so much. Long videos are not a problem!! You're exactly right. It's only when an artist can bring that raw emotion or raw energy to a live performance that it's better than a mastered track and I think that's really hard to do. When it happens though it's magical though! I disagree about father figures being more important to daughters than sons. I think they're equally important to both. For daughters a father figure can be a reflection of the men she will surround herself with later in life, but for a son a father figure can be a reflection of how he should think/act. I'm 26 (less than a month from 27!) and honestly I think I'm still maturing. Am I mature enough to think/act like an adult? Of course, but am I still learning the best way to handle new situations? Definitely! I don't think that ever stops tbh. Since my parents have more life experience than me, I'll always be learning from them no matter how old I get.

He's that kind of man who drinks, treats my mum AND I like shit, gambles a lot, had an affair, all those other shit that a man should've never done. But the worst thing is, when I was 8 he introduced me to his "friend" and talks about how she's a good old friend, she's amazing, blah blah blah. But then, he dared to KISS her RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! My father has been there for me and my brother through thick and thin. And it was my mother who left us three. So I love and appreciate my father so much (& that's an understatement) for not giving up on us no matter how much it was difficult and a struggle to take care of two kids by himself. Okay, so I've just watched the reaction and there's a couple of things I wanna say. The clip you watched had some bits missing at the intro, but it doesn't really matter. And yes that was his dad. And just some background info on Mino: he started off as an underground rapper with zico (block b) and others, they're very close. Mino was originally going to debut with block b, but due to some personal circumstances, he had to drop out, and it's kinda to do with what he said in the lyrics. It was such a sad moment. His block b members were so sad, they had been together so long, chasing the same dream, wanting to be together, but they had to separate. This show is the first time him and Zico have reunited, with Zico mentoring MIno. Wow I'm so glad you did this reaction! There are a few SMTM songs worth checking out, but I'm sure there are like 100 comments about them. I nearly cried while watching this for the first, not always do we think about the fact that the artists are just humans and this performance seemed so personal but also relatable. Being an adult must be really scary if you don't have support of your family and friends. I'm lucky to have pretty good relationship with my parents, with some ups and downs, of course, but they are really supportive of my choices and want the best for me. I teared up watching your video because I have a father is more of an Authoritarian and it has always been really hard for me to approach him. Being a girl I had a lot of restrictions but I never rebelled and was always obedient but im in my third year college now and nothing much has changed since then in fact it feels worse because now there is a financial burden added to my whole weight of problems that I just am never brave enough to face. My father is not a forgiving person and I fear he will most likely voice all the thoughts that pop up in my own head....but it's something I will have to do...

My father has been there for me and my brother through thick and thin. And it was my mother who left us three. So I love and appreciate my father so much (& that's an understatement) for not giving up on us no matter how much it was difficult and a struggle to take care of two kids by himself. I cried bc of this performance! I love this song so much, one of the songs that actually hit you in the feels and gets you emotional! ~

Okay, so I've just watched the reaction and there's a couple of things I wanna say.
The clip you watched had some bits missing at the intro, but it doesn't really matter.
And yes that was his dad.
And just some background info on Mino: he started off as an underground rapper with zico (block b) and others, they're very close. Mino was originally going to debut with block b, but due to some personal circumstances, he had to drop out, and it's kinda to do with what he said in the lyrics. It was such a sad moment. His block b members were so sad, they had been together so long, chasing the same dream, wanting to be together, but they had to separate. This show is the first time him and Zico have reunited, with Zico mentoring MIno.
And throughout the show, there's this pun that everybody says and it's "MIno is the winner anyway", started by one of the contestants called Blacknut.

Wow I'm so glad you did this reaction! There are a few SMTM songs worth checking out, but I'm sure there are like 100 comments about them.
I nearly cried while watching this for the first, not always do we think about the fact that the artists are just humans and this performance seemed so personal but also relatable. Being an adult must be really scary if you don't have support of your family and friends. I'm lucky to have pretty good relationship with my parents, with some ups and downs, of course, but they are really supportive of my choices and want the best for me. You guys will be great dads, certainly! :)

Keep chasing your dreams, I dont know you guys personally but I can tell you are both very good people. Keep up the good work on the channel, cant be easy doing all this on the side of university! I am also entering university soon, I am gonna study Japanese and chase my dream of visiting Japan and hopefully be able to establish a life for myself there. This performance really hit me! Especially since Taeyang was a part of it, he was the one who got me into Kpop and is now my favorite artist.
Yeap, the performance (and the lyrics) was really touching esp when Mino said -in high tone- "Aboji!" (father). I may not have a lovey dovey ship with my dad. We barely talked about emotional thing. But I just know that he's the first and the last person who will be around when I'm in need.

I'm super close with my own father and I totally understand that a father-figure is important for young girls because it shapes how we see men in our lives and future relationships with older men. For sure I'm making sure my own kids have a fun buddy-buddy relationship with their father:)
This really brought me to tears again even though I've watched like a dozen other reactions to this song. you guys really got the message he was trying to put out there and I'm so proud as a Mino fan that he is becoming such a good influence that it actually made you think about your relationships. He has gone through so much at such a young age and the fact that he put it in a song with lyrics that really hit you shows how great he can be if he is given a fair chance to put out his music. YG give him his freedom!

it is tho. this performance was a resolution of him (Mino) to recover/pay back thing he did (a trouble) last time bcs of his lyrics. He really wanted to make a good and meaningful lyrics for his songs and well he frkin did. there's a clip before this stage was on, it showed how Mino was going out with his dad and sharing thoughts. and I lovee his dad so much even before this show come up (actually his whole family, they're all being so supportive and lovable).

I'm not sure if a daughters relationship with her father is more important but I relate to your relationships with your parents. Both of my parents are very authoritative and continue to be even though I'm 23. As I grow older I realize most of their rules were to protect me and that a friendly approach may not have worked as well. However, I really wish they weren't so rigid. I can't tell them when I mess up sometimes and I agree with Rob in that you should be able to talk to your parents about anything that really bothers you. I've accepted that my parents will never be that support system. It's ok though. I love them and they love me. I really should say it more.

I teared up watching your video because I have a father is more of an Authoritarian and it has always been really hard for me to approach him. Being a girl I had a lot of restrictions but I never rebelled and was always obedient but im in my third year college now and nothing much has changed since then in fact it feels worse because now there is a financial burden added to my whole weight of problems that I just am never brave enough to face. My father is not a forgiving person and I fear he will most likely voice all the thoughts that pop up in my own head....but it's something I will have to do...

I'm totally agree that Mino have X-factors at his performances. Mino, maybe he's not the best rapper at SMTM4, and I'm not into rap song to, but the way he sing the songs make we can feel something bout the song. Peoples jugde him, underestimated him, bcoz the company he's come from, the good appearance. Whats wrong with that? Thats nothing what make we fall for him. I think bcoz his sincerity, his passion, his soul, to do the best when he sing, I personally can feel (even I don't understand the language) the intensity of the song, the energy and the message his transfer. Juz hope the best for u Mino.
