- Today we’re traveling from Don Det to Siem Reap! The only problem is - we have to cross the Laos Cambodia border. We’ve seen TONS of complaints online calling this border a scam, corrupt, and the worst border crossing in Southeast Asia. If paying $2 for a stamp is considered a "scam", well... what's the Philippines' exit procedure called then? I had to pay $130 because my work visa was valid and not cancelled when I left... for what - "understaying" my visa? The Philippines can go hawk thua on that thang for sure...

Sometimes, you just don’t believe what they said on TH-cam. Some people see everything is a scam as soon as they step their foot in other country. For some people, any little inconvenience, they call it a scam or corrupt.

Yay Cambodia. Siem Reap is a perfect place to hang out and reset and do some work. It is so easy albeit tourist geared. But like all tourist places it doesn't take much effort to seek out the local neighborhoods and markets. Food galore, cheap tuk tuk's ect. you can also rent a bicycle or an electric bike ( one for each) When you go to Angkor Wat there are some food places grouped together with funny names. Personal tip I ate at one called James Bond. I had the best fresh fruit pancake ever. Whoo Hoo the nerd tour continues.

The only way you can avoid scammers over there is to land at Phnom Penh airport... 10 minutes + 30 USD and nothing else. But even their ATM machines in South East Asia are a huge scam. The banks charge you 220 baht in Thailand or 5 USD in Cambodia for a cash withdrawal.
😂😂😂 Oh now we have a new word for overseas atm fee , Scam 😂😂😂. I don’t know if you can call something that you agreed or voluntarily pay for the service you want as a Scam 😂😂

You are confusing with Thailand, only Thailand is not a safe place. It’s totally safe in Cambodia every, even in the jungle. Thailand has discrimination issue, terrorist in the South due to Muslim separatist , Violence against non-Thai people, military coup at any moment and corruption in police force
