    This video shows how to make the classic combo of Hyderabadi Veg Biryani & Mirchi ka Salan. the Salan is a gravy based side dish which goes very well with the Biryani.
    Ingredients
    For Veg Biryani
    Basmati Rice 2 cups
    Curd 1/2-1 cup
    Oil 4- 5 Tbsp
    Beans,cauliflower,carrot,Peas, 1 cup (together)
    Green chillies1-2
    Onions sliced 3-4
    Mint/Pudina leaves
    Salt to taste
    Haldi/Turmeric powder a pinch
    Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tsp
    Biryani masala powder 2 tsp
    Ghee3tsp
    Cashewnuts 1 Tbsp
    Cardamoms 4-5
    Cloves2-3
    Cinnamon a piece
    bayleaves a few
    Lemon juice 2 tbsp
    Chilli powder 1tsp
    Saffron a few strands (soaked in a little milk)
    For Mirchi Ka Salan
    Mirchi(green chillies not spicy) 200 gm
    Oil 3 tbsp
    Groundnuts 3-4 tbsp
    White til/Sesame seeds 1/2 cup
    Dry coconut powder 1 cup
    Kalonji/onion seeds 1 tsp
    Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
    Chopped on ions 1 cup
    Tomatoes 3
    Haldi/turmeric powder a pinch
    salt to taste
    Chilli powder 1-2 tsp
    Tamarind extract from lemon size tamarind
    Fresh coriander leaves a few
    Garam masala 1 tsp

      Mam please try some brass utensils (tin coated) as the food cooked in these utensils is very nutritious and healthy. In terms of steal the food cooked in brass (tin coated) is more healthy and nutritious.

      @@hookzgaming835 tin coating can leach into the food while cooking , so please do not use brass vessel with tin coating.
      Recommended vessels are earthenware, steel,iron and cast iron only.

      @@annemoses8045 Actually it's not harmful the food should be immediately removed after cooking and as for the tin coating it is an age old Indian practice to coat brass and copper vessels with tin as the food doesn't gets spoiled (by various chemical reactions) while cooking in a brass or copper. Ayurveda suggests silver , brass and iron(including cast iron) for cooking in which brass has to be used only used when coated with tin for cooking curries and sauted vegetables as tomato, lime,tamarind etc which are sour and acidic in nature and can get spoiled by chemical reactions between the brass and acids present in the food. That's why tin coating is needed as per the leaching of tin in food, even some amount of tin is required to human body.

      @@annemoses8045 Steel destroys at least 50-60 percent of nutrients of the food cooked in it and no extra minerals are provided, Both in iron and cast iron utensils tamarind, lime, lemon etc the vegetables which are acidic in nature are not advisable to cook. Earthen pots are not advisable to cook food in the time period of chatur masa which stretches from July to November (Monsoon season) as the Earthen pot gets fungus attack on it during monsoon season and may spoil the food cooked in it . At last brass utensils which are coated with tin only deplete 2-2.5 percent of nutrients in the food cooked in it and also provide additional minerals to the food cooked in it , and also can be used throughout the year.
