      Hi Khandaker! The very first thing we found in your profile is that you have a BSc. degree. We are not quite sure if you're referring to the Indian education system. If yes, we're really sorry, but it is their bare minimum requirement to have a 4 year degree. You can check out other courses which suits you on our channel! If your BSc. is from other country with 4 years of study then you have a good looking academic profile. But these are all minimum requirements, if you're able to show some projects and/or research articles it would be cherry on top and you'll have a high chance of getting selected. Since, not many people know about this course yet because it started this year, you can definitely target this course easily! Good luck!✌️

    Is the Msc in data science 2 year program ?
    Also I have a doubt what courses which has timeline of 16 months or 18 months, are those considered as 2 year course ?

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Musad! If you're talking about this course, yes it's a 2 year course. So if you start in Fall 2022 i.e. September 2022, you'll be tossing your hat around May-June 2024. Those 16-month courses mostly consists of 4 semesters and they're generally considered 2-year course. To avoid this year-month confusion, universities have started to follow the semester system.

    3 year degrees are accepted from India as long as they are completed from a NAAC A Grade Institution and the individual should have 60% or 8/10 in his undergraduate degree.

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012

      Hey! The profile is indeed strong and you should definitely apply. You'll, however, need to write a strong SOP if you don't have any other differentiating factor like job experience, good academics and/or research publications. SOPs will be the most vital in your case. So, do a thorough analysis, improvise your initial SOP over 4-5 drafts with the help of a good professor (if you know) or on your own self through iterative process. Hope this was helpful! :)

    i am from Bangladesh & my BSc is 3 years because I previously finished 4 years diploma in Computer Technolgy... that's why my BSc in CSE is reduced 3 years.. is there any chance I will be accepted?

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nahid. Well, this is a tricky situation. The university has explicitly asked for a 4-year degree or a master's if you have a 3-year degree. But since your BSc. got shortened to 3 years because of your previous diploma, that ideally shouldn't be called as a "3-year" degree. But since your case is really specific, we would strongly suggest to get in touch with the admissions team to be sure. As per our understanding, you should be fine but before spending your $100 on the application, make sure you have a nod from the admissions team on your situation. Good luck!✌️

    Hi, how to calculate the total tuition fees for international students? I'm not understanding it. Can you tell me the total fees as of now? The fee structure has changed.

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, we understand that the fee calculation for University of Regina is a bit tricky task. But what you can do is look out for the latest tuition fee document on their website. Calculate fee as per the semesters you'll be spending in the university. For this program, you'll spend 4 semesters typically starting in Fall. So you'll have Fall, Winter, Summer and Fall semesters in the order. This makes 2 fall semesters, 1 each of summer and winter semesters. With this you can calculate the latest fee. Hope this helps.

    Hi, wanted to ask one more thing. Can an average student score 80% in all semesters here? Then only we will get co-op right? Is it too tough or possible for an average student and I also haven't learned anything in data science before.

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firstly, I don't think there's such a boundation to do a co-op. As far as securing 80 is concerned, it shouldn't be too hard except for a few infamous universities and Regina isn't one! All you need to do is to do a focused study throughout the semester as Canadian education system is way different than in India. Here you'll pass with flying colors studying for a day or two but that's not the case in Canada. You'll have to write graded assignments, essays and other things throughout the semester that'll prepare your final marksheet. So, just focus on what they teach and you'd be able to cross 80% without much efforts even being not belonging to data science. Good luck!👍

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Anu. It's not like that. There are several reasons for visa rejection and this certainly is **not** one of them. A lot of people go for a second master's. In fact, many universities do have a requirement for a master's if you a 3-year bachelor degree. So just because you have an MCA and going for another master's doesn't mean that your visa willbe rejected! Just apply and give your best! Good luck!👍

    Do I have to must complete 30 credit hours within 2 yrs or I can complete it like in 2.5 or 3 yrs?

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      By normalcy, it should be completed in 2 years. You can't spread these credits over 3 years. But if you fail a subject in a semester then certainly your study duration could be extended but make sure that doesn't add to your PGWP duration, it would still be 2 years irrespective of how many years you take to complete that course. Hope this clears your doubt. Let me know if we took the wrong path! :)

    • @knowledgeoverflow6012
      @knowledgeoverflow6012  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! I probably think so. Because you can put the university's code in IELTS and they'll directly send your results there, wo that's sorted. As for WES, as soon as you get the IELTS result, send your application to WES and they'll move forward your application to the universities that you list to them. Of course, that doesn't mean you won't have to apply directly to the university, it's just WES can directly send their verified reports to some universities themselves which could save some time. Else for other universities, you will have to send the WES report yourself, which could delay the process a little. So, add only those universities for WES to report those are on top of your priority list. Rest you can send yourself. FYI, WES completes the evaluation in a maximum of 2 weeks. Hope this helps?
