I bought one this year, have been using it this week. I must say I'm impressed with it. Though don't like the light chain, i think it could also do with a visual indicator to let you know it needs oil. Complete beast of a machine. Great review
Yep in 30 yrs the worst injury I’ve had off a saw was slipping trying to get a piece of crap jammed in the guide bar out . Cut all four fingers just below the knuckles down to the bone on the edge of the bar. I always wear gloves cleaning my saws now !!!!
Good work. When I was about 7, way back in 1967, my dad got hit in the face by one. Before the days of chain brakes of course. Cut a groove through the bone under his eye brow two stitches in his eye lid Large groove cut into his cheek bone under his eye Opened his cheek up exposing the inside of his mouth Cut through the muscles that run across the face to the nose Cut a groove into the side of his chin. Left with a large scar down the left side of his face and a few hair follicles inside his mouth that needed plucking from time to time! Never mind. 3 years later he got knocked off his scooter, before the days of compulsory crash helmets in Western Australia, landed face first on the road and did his own plastic surgery. Literally almost completely removed the chainsaw scar by the time he had further surgery and recovered. Still going strong at 94 years old and only has false teeth and a permanently swollen top lip to show for his efforts.
Hi Noel. Yes I'm sold on it too. Has you'd know this was a demo machine but I will defo be buying one of these for myself in the near future. I wouldn't of thought that before I done this video. Cheers Calvin
I have the husquvarna version of this, I personally feel it cuts quicker than the petrol stihl ht75 I also own. The head design is slightly different on the husqvarna to the stihl youve got, it also has a separate bumper bar to protect the base of the machine .
Hi Paul. Many Thanks for the comments. Yes I will do a comparison against the Husqvarna soon. I'm looking forward to see how they compare against each other. Cheers Calvin
I’m on the brink of buying a stihl or husky. I prefer the look and feel of the husky and seems better quality but...... seen nothing but bad reviews on the husky batteries. Haven’t seen any bad reviews on the stihl batteries. I’d be getting at least 3 top end batteries as my work is mostly remote woodland so don’t want to shell out £600 on batteries thatll last only a year.
Hi Green Apples, No they were just on loan to me from my local dealer to test and review. I liked these but I also liked the Husqvarna too. Its very close between the 2. Cheers, Calvin

Another good review. I should think it's much safer than cutting from off a ladder - as long as the branch doesn't fall on your head.
Hi Rob. Thanks for the comments. Yes much safer than off a ladder. Yes you have to watch the branches lol. Cheers Calvin

Great video. Very helpful. 👍

Hey, i was wandering, can you put HTA chainsaw head on HLA hedge trimmer?
If you were reducing a thick conifer, would you use this or a traditional chainsaw with a larger blade?
Hi Ian. Sorry for the late reply, I like pole saws I find them safer and they have the reach. Cheers, Calvin
Yes nice review, I agree with you they are great and the hedge cutters,
