    Looks like the old chain/bar combination. Aggressive cut and fast. Nice to see.

    Did you work with the HTA 86 as well? What do you think about the weight in comparison to the 135? The 86 should have around 5kg and the 135 around 7,3kg (both with bar and chain). 2,3kg should be a lot, isn't it? Or is most of the weight at the "lower end" below your hands so it doens't feel really heavier?

    Could of just walked to the bottom of the tree and lopped it there! That branch started about 2 feet above ground and cutting at that level is always safer than cutting high branches with potential energy which can do you some damage on the way down! I have the MSA 220 battery saw and it's also much easier to lug around than the pole pruner (yes I have both!)
    I use my pole pruner for those branches I can't get to from ground level. It's MUCH safer to cut at ground level than trying to go up steps or climb trees to do the lopping high up.

      @lukester478 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not always brother. Agree with using steps but sometimes (albeit rarely) felling is not as safe as climbing. Depends on the tree.
      Of course it also depends on the drop zone what you choose to dismantle

    Looks good mate. New head design is nice, similar to the old one. Have they gone back to a 3/8 pitch chain as well?

      It is indeed running a 3/8 chain. It is impressive what it will cut through - has plenty of torque. I was impressed by the way it went through the oak.

      @@TheFullyChargedGardener I'm hoping that Stihl will use that chain/bar combination on their latest multi tool that I've seen on their Web site. Most of us don't use these for orchard work where the more precise cut is required or so we're told. Come on Stihl, the faster the cut the less knackering it is.

    Pros / cons to using this versus the kma 135 with a few extensions? (not recommended I know but it works)
    Just wondering I use the kma 130, now 135 alot and never bought a dedicated extending trimmer or saw.
    Also im just going to rant about the rma 765 v not being available in the USA. You guys are lucky.

    • @TheFullyChargedGardener
      @TheFullyChargedGardener  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The first thing I would say is this unit is easy to adjust for length, if you were using extensions it would restrict you.
      Another thing would be less control - by using extensions, you would get lots of flex, giving you less control over the cuter - which would also reduce efficiency.
      These dedicated pole saws are great bits of kit.
      It is frustrating when machines aren’t available in your country - Thank you for watching 👍
