Every time I hear this song I think of my dog that died a while back... I received a dog from a lady on the street. She gave him to me and left, never came back. He was obviously beaten and a bit under weight. Not so much but enough for it to be visible. He was a such a sweetheart tho. I fell in love with him and kept him. He didn't know how to bark or act around dogs. How to play, how to eat properly because he would lick the food not eat it. He was a very sad, odd dog. Over the years he got better. He barked, he ate like a normal dog and even started to learn how to play a bit even tho he thought they were being mean to him and didn't really realise its a game. The second year he jumped of the sofa one day and cried out laudly. We weren't sure what happened but quickly we realised that he couldn't move half of his body. When we took him to the vet he scanned him and it was clearly visible that his spine was damaged. He said that he was probably hit over the back with a hard stick because he had multiple fractures all over his back which we didn't know ofc and which was the reason his back vertebrae slipped and fractured. He had to choose between putting him down or paying a operation for a couple of thousand. He wasn't the youngest dog but we knew he still had many years ahead of him. He was truly such a sweet little angel.he finally had a happy home where people loved him. So we payed for the operation. Itwas insane how expensive it was. It took him months to feel better. Rehabs cost us even more money but he healed completely and was able to run, jump and be a completely normal dog again. It was incredible how he healed. Even the doctor couldn't believe it. It was as if nothing happened. By the end of the third year however a terrible accident happened. We have horses and he was my little traveling companion. It was his only happiness in life. He didn't play with toys or other dogs. He just wanted to run in the forest and sniff around. It's all he knew how to do. And doing it on a hours long trip was a dream come true. He probably never been in a forest before he met us. One day however one of the horses accidently scratched his back. Even tho nothing really happened to him physically the shock that he thought he hurt his back again killed him. He cried out and ran under a tree. He seemed fine otherwise. But then he suddenly dropped and his gums turned white. He was in a shock. Vets were closed because of corona and no one was there to help. He died right Infront of me slowly and i couldn't do anything to help. It hurts my heart everyday. Biggest pain I've ever felt in my life was losing him and not being able to do anything to help him. Its been 8months and I cry everyday. He was the most adorable dog, the sweetest, purest being I know. I just wish he had more happiness in life. And I know he must have been the most beautiful puppy in the world. He was about 8 and people still thought he was a puppy. I wish i could see him again. But I know it wouldn't be him. I hope his little soul finds its way back to me. I hope he knows I still love him so very much and I miss him everyday.

this song helped me get through a lot back in 2007 and 2008...and one day when i was on 3rd street, I heard someone singing it, so i followed the music...and it was HOPE right there singing it. I lost my husband on March 8th 2020. This song reminds me of him. I miss him so damn much. After 25 years we finally got married and he died unexpectedly 3 weeks later of Covid-19 symptoms / acute respiratory distress syndrome. He was my best friend. I bury my face in his sweaters. I can't breathe, I dont want to carry on without him. I want to scream at someone, destroy something. I can't find words to describe this caught in a trap chew your limb off to escape pain.
