Had this played when I returned home from Afghanistan. I served as a combat medic in the British Army and when I came home my wife played this for me while we sat silently in the dark. I suffer from PTSD and this voice of an angel has been the only thing to calm me.

I dated my boyfriend for 7 months, online via video chat, before going to meet him in England to meet him for the first time. That was in October. For Christmas and New year he came to America, for the first time. Taking him to the airport to go home....I broke. I'd never felt so lost. Now 6 year later I live in England and we have two beautiful children. This song hits so hard, rings so true.

Oh wow your Story gives me a lot of Hope because I have a Long distance relationship with an English soldier and I’m from Germany and we can’t see us very often because of the army and it’s so so hard and it breaks me so much but I try to see it positive and think and see the good beautiful future we will get in few years when we can live finally together! I was always running, always escaping from love and being loved. That really came after a truly hard breakup that I'm beyond grateful for at the moment... Regardless, I don't and din't have a boyfriend at the time, can you guess who I was in fact running from? My mother. While running away from love, she was the one missing, and as I imagined a life without her, the only thing I could possibly think of, was the pain she was experiencing for not being around on this earth together... I can't believe how disconnected from life we can be, for us to not be aware of the real treasure of love... During that emotional "isolation", I wrote a song for her, and the last thing I knew, I was all covered up in tears. We can't scape love, and indeed, mother is our greatest love.

People feel lost so many times, life is made of choices and new opportunities, if you lose someone you love, you need to love yourself more and find courage, it is so much important to really understand that everything happens for a reason. I don’t think I have ever listening to a song that can make me feel sad, calm, happy. I’m in one hand it reminds me of my mum, or just an ex I lost and shouldn’t have. Then I just admire how good the lyrics are and how well she sings.

But to me it highlights the resiliency of the human condition, it moves me to that dark place and reminds me of how fragile I am but also how resilient because I didn’t stay there. Not all musicians can elicit those emotions and she does so brilliantly.
