Good & informative. Some additional helpful info: Not sure whether the quite important doweled studs on the steering arms were mentioned. Not having/fitting can & does result in steering arms loosening in service. Also the anchor cams @ the bottom of the brake shoes move those shoes not only in & out but also up & down so the brake shoes can be set concentrically with the axle housing spindle, hub & brake drum.
In the future. I have the footage. We originally wanted to have a professional shop that we use show and tell. A US veteran who is an absolute expert. It will happen.

Yes, that is how the frame is tagged. I find it kind of amusing, “scout car” . The nomenclature plates say “1/4 Ton Truck”. If you google, Willys Scout Car Tag, you will find a ton of info on the tags. A lot on G503 Forum as well. 👍👍👍👍
All the chassis tags I have looked at locally just have a number stamped onto there little silver tag near the radiator ( in the local Jeep club ) mine is the only tag with all that info stamped on it / thanks for your info
